My marriage is in bad shape and I feel a lot of anger and resentment toward my husband for his lack of initiative, follow-through, and logistical/emotional support within our household, especially during times of crisis. But right now I feel like I'm dealing with the mother of all crises, and on a practical level it would be folly to leave for at least a year, nor will I be in a position to focus on giving him one last honest shot at fixing things for months. What tools/attitudes/approaches can I adopt or employ to keep from making things worse and even more unsalveagable over the next few months?

I have a very emotionally intense job, which combined with my natural introversion and lack of formal training in this field, has always been a challenge for me. Now I'm six months pregnant and crying at my desk every day. What are some resources for learning how to deal with difficult emotional work? How do social workers and crisis intervention workers learn to handle the constant barrage of tragedy? How do I get through the rest of my pregnancy like this?

Fuck! I corrupted the BIOS on a Toshiba L305D trying to update it in windows 7 (which i later realized was an incredibly stupid idea). It was a laptop we fixed and we were getting ready to sell it on our floor. Boss wants me to come in Monday with a fix. There seems to be a way to fix it using crisis BIOS recovery. But I need a BIOS.rom file. HELP!!!

I am getting really frustrated with my flaky chemistry professor. I don't want to complain about her mistakes to the Dean because I think she's a nice person and has some life circumstances I wouldn't wish on anyone (illness of her own and single caregiver for extremely ill and challenged child). How do I get over my frustration with her, stop resenting her, and also stop feeling upset and anxious when I study?

I turn 40 soon, married. A few years ago I had what I believe to be a major spiritual awakening, but it really hasn't "stuck", to the core anyway.
I have since found the pendulum swing far the other way to where I'm a surprised to find i'm now inclined to: drink to excess, flirt with women (some pretty young), smoke marijuana/ tobacco, listen to stuff like Kid Rock and relishing the vulgarity/attitude, watch porn - (this is mostly all "private" behavior)
is this all indicative a midlife crisis situation? or "spiritual backlash"? or do i need to come to terms that i've taken a road down towards creepville?
