How do we compare and choose between two (almost) identical beds?

My wife and I are looking to buy a new (queen size) bed, and trying to decide between two beds from two different stores. Both are actually quite similar in terms of look/style and price. Here are the beds: Crate and Barrel vs. Room & Board

The big question is: how to choose? We like both equally, and we're not sure if one bed is better made than the other, if one company is better than another, etc. Are there certain things we should be looking for that might tip the vote, one way or another?

Additionally, we would love to hear any feedback from anyone who's purchased a bed from either store. Good or bad experiences, we'd love to hear about it.

How eco-friendly is Crate & Barrel's eco-friendly furniture?

Should I bother trying to buy eco-friendly furniture? Crate and Barrel claims that many of their products are eco-friendly. Although there is much discussion in the blogosphere about the existence of C&B's claim, I haven't found anything in the way of discussion about how eco-friendly the furniture really is. Can someone with more expertise in furniture production help me? (BTW, I'm most interested in couches.) And if the answer is, yes C&B's eco-friendly products really are eco-friendly and the best thing one can do for the earth short of buying used or recycled furniture, can anyone suggest comparable eco-friendly furniture in the same price range? I'm in Chicago, if that helps.

When does CrateandBarrel typically have its furniture on sale? There are a few big items I'd like to get, but can wait if they typically run furniture sales in August or September.

We are considering buying Martinique Yellow dinnerware from Crate and Barrel. Some friends told us that they were less than impressed with the durability of Crate and Barrel plates. Obviously, the quality will differ from product to product, but if you have Crate and Barrel dinnerware, please tell me what you think about the quality.

Sisal Rug Maintenance

My wife and I are thinking of buying a sisal or seagrass rug from Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrell or one of those places. I like the way they look brand new, but am worried about how it would wear. Are they easy to clean? How do you clean it--you can't vacuum it, can you? Will the cat shred it within 24 hours?
