Stuck indoors, how can I get a spray paint finish on glass object without dying form fumes?

I need to paint a bunch of glass candle holders, but don't want brush strokes and can only do this in my 1 bdrm apartment. I tried building a spray paint booth, but the fumes were intense and I still managed to get spray paint everywhere. how to make a water container with todays news?

I need to make a vessel that will hold half gallon of water, and will not leak for at least 1 hour. The catch? I can only use 1 newspaper, 1 pound flour, 1 tablespoon of salt. It has to be ready for tomorrow. I can use my oven to bake it or dry it, so it has to fit in my oven. These are the "only" limitations. Any ideas?

Please help me create a list of themes and related activities for children.

I work with kids in an afterschool program ranging in age from 3-10. I'm contemplating having themes for a week where we do a lot of creative activities revolving around the theme. Hello You Crafty MeFi Bastards!

Hello dearest Hive: Any of you by chance crafty bastards? Here's what I want to do. I have the proofs from my first book, and would like to cut out and make a collage of all the pictures, glue them to an old hunk of countertop that i can stick some IKEA legs on and make into a coffee table. I guess what I need is best practice as far as glue, and what to cover it in. I understand there is some sort of stuff you can spray/paint on to seal it...or I could go with the stick a hunk of glass/plastic across the top. any info will be greatly appreciated.

box building for cheap dummies

I sort of have a box addiction. I collect cardboard boxes for shipping boardgames, or that's what I tell myself, but sometimes I just collect them. I am not a meth user, but probably have a hoarding gene. So I want to make some simple wooden boxes using simple tools to rebox a few favorite games. I have a jig saw, hand saw, drill, circular saw and a few other cheap tools, like a plastic mitre box. The boxes don't have to be examples of fine wordworking, just functional and not too crude. I'm looking for resources on how to do this without dropping hundreds of dollars on antique planes or tools.

I'm a dude. I have an opal. Now what?

So I'm a manly man, sort of, and many years ago I was given a small opal (1cm top to bottom) - I don't think it has any real monetary value, but it's pretty, and I'm tired of it living in my drawer. Any ideas for what I can do with it? My first thought was tie pin, but that seems pedestrian. Suggestions that include sources for necessary supplies or services would be especially helpful.
