Cracks in drywall: who do we call?

We recently noticed some cracks in the drywall around a little alcove in our kitchen. The cracks appear right on the seam of the drywall where the wall angles away from the main kitchen wall. They're on both sides of the alcove. It looks to me like a patch job was done before, and I am concerned this is pointing to something more serious. Is it just a patch job over some poor drywalling, or should I be calling somebody in? If so, who? Photos are here. [more inside]

Foundation cracks in a house we made an offer on - how bad are they?

We made an offer on a house and it was accepted - yay! We had the home inspector out today to take a look there was a potential red flag that may sink the deal - on one side of the house there are a series of small/moderate foundation cracks. How big of a deal is this really? [more inside]

What's up with these cracks on my wife's iPhone 3GS?

So my wife sent me a picture of the back of her old iPhone 3GS, which she uses to listen to Internet radio through the stereo at work. She said, "It looks like something is fighting its way out of the case." Can anyone tell me what's going on? [more inside]

My Mackbook is a crackin.

How can I make the topcase (wrist area) of my 2006 white Macbook stop cracking? I have had Apple replace this part twice, and it has cracked yet again. There is a way for me to solve this problem. I know there is. [more inside]

Cosmetic Surgery or Botox for Drywall

I am vacating my room--one bedroom in a multi-bedroom apartment. So that potential future occupants like what they see and want to sublet said room, I would like to fill the tack holes I left in the drywall. Plus, there are several long, very thin cracks that have formed on the walls over the past eight years. How do I give the room a cheap but passable make-up job? What materials will I need to pick up? Is joint cracking harmful?

Every freaking joint in my body cracks, and I have a (pseudo-) neurotic need to do so on a daily basis. With the knuckles, it's just habit; with the neck and back, I genuinely feel very stiff unless I do so. Am I damaging my body in some way? Most of the advice I've heard on this issue has been from people with an agenda (i.e., they are annoyed by it) so I don't trust them.

Previously noted here, but didn't see the answer to my specific question.
