Looking for covers of American or British classic oldies (or even some classic rock tunes) in non-English languages--for example a cover of the Ronettes "Be My Baby"
in French .
THANKS! :)

Can you help me find Spanish-language songs covered in Portuguese, and Portuguese-language songs covered in Spanish? Bonus points if the singers and songs are Latin American, and if the songs are available on YouTube or Spotify.

Musical question: back in the 80s I heard a cover of Al Green's Rhymes. It was a snarkier, Gen Xy, punkish version. Very distinctive vocals, kind of raspy and whiny. I don't remember the music behind it much which makes me think it was minimalistic. I want to say the singer's name was Chris something? Who did this version? I have faith some mefite well versed in obscure music will come to my aid. Thanks!

The Rework. I'm looking for examples of the self-cover in a different style, i.e. a reimagining, where the musician reinterprets their own song in a new genre. Is this a thing?

What album cover featured notable musicians as the twelve apostles of funk, with Lionel Richie as Judas? This was described to me in the early nineties. I think it was the cover of a hip hop album. Perhaps it wasn't an album cover, but some other artwork. Google returns a couple of hits for Richie as "Judas of funk," but other searches led nowhere.

What Mexican song did I hear that heavily sampled (or covered) an English language rock band like April Wine or Foghat (or similar). The Spanish lyrics sort of rapping over a bed of the classic rock sound. And I'm almost positive it wasn't Molotov.

This is going to be a bit of a longshot, but when I was in Japan a few months ago, I heard a cover of Queen's
"Don't Stop Me Now" sung presumably by a Japanese female, and I've been trying to find it ever since.

I heard a piece of Muzak while shopping in Staples; the verse was forgettable, but the chorus was the verse from Kraftwerk's
Computer Love (0:31 to 0:47 is the first full statement of it). It wasn't just similar; I know about soundalikes; it was note-for-note identical in melody and rhythm.
I heard two more verse/choruses. It didn't seem to be a cover; the lyrics were not about computers; and of course, the actual "verse" was completely different.
Searching and asking got no results, anyone know it?

I was at a restaurant recently and they were playing a foreign language cover of Bush's "Machinehead." The cover version was much slower but the melody was recognizable and every once in awhile the singer would say "machinehead" in english. Does anybody have any idea who this is by?
