Yee haw! Or maybe Hee Haw... Or maybe just the Mandrell Show... I'm trying to find a clip or a photo of the three Mandrell Sisters performing a skit while in personal spas. Is there any evidence that this actually aired or is it an imagined memory? I'd love your help locating proof.

I was in Ernie Tubbs Record Shop in Nashville a couple weeks ago and they were playing a song whose only lyric I can remember is something like "one of those nights when I miss Lester Black." The lyric was repeated often as part of the refrain. It was a country song, it sounded sort of old and had a melancholic feel to it. That is, unfortunately, all I can remember. I can't get that lyric out of my head and I really want to know what song it is. Google hasn't been any help. Please satiate my curiosity, it is driving me nuts!

I really like the guitar style in the openings of BonJovi's "blaze of glory" and "wanted" songs. I want to listen to more music in this style. What kind of "county"-ish music are those guitar riffs?

I remember hearing once that someone in the audience at Johhny Cash's Folsom Prison performance - as a prisoner - was inspired by it to go on to a successful career as a singer/songwriter. Is this apocryphal? If not, who was it? Someone mentioned to me Waylon Jennings, but I don't think it's him. Google is inconclusive.

Can anyone recommend some alt.country? I remember I had a mix cd a few years ago that had some really nice stuff on it (Lucinda Williams singing "Passionate Kisses" really stands out in my memory) but I have no idea where to start. I really like the female vocalist aspect, but I am open to all suggestions. Bonus if I can snag it on iTunes.
