Bruschetta + trousers = :(

Stainfilter: I spilled a tasty-but-volatile cocktail of bruschetta topping (raw tomato, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, basil, salt, ground pepper) on a pair of gray 97% cotton/3% spandex trousers. I threw them in the wash immediately (cold water, Woolite Black and vinegar) but the stain is now even worse. Can you save my favorite pants? [more inside]

Can I get away with putting these "line dry" pants in the dryer?

LaundryFilter: I recently bought some stretch cotton pants. According to the label, stretch cotton is defined as c. 97-98% cotton, with the remainder being spandex. Unfortunately, that very same label informs me that I'm supposed to line dry these pants, which is enormously inconvenient for me. Could I get away with putting these through a few minutes in a regular dryer on the low dry/delicates setting or would that destroy the pants? [more inside]

Dying cotton clothes without shrinking them?

Is it possible to dye white shirts and dark blue shirts (both 100% cotton with a shelf bra that is 95% cotton/5% spandex) black without shrinking them? [more inside]

Will 96% cotton and 4% spandex shrink in the dryer?

Will fabric that is 96% cotton and 4% spandex shrink in the dryer? There's a certain garment I want to buy, but only if I'm able to shrink it a bit, since it's too large for me now. Google tells me to always dry spandex on low setting, but I'm assuming those are instructions for people who DON'T want to shrink their clothes.
