I'm looking for a shirt that has all three of these: (1) feels cool when I'm overheated and (2) made of wicking material that dries quickly and (3) feels dry to the touch even when wet. Polyester and other synthetic cycling jerseys are cool to wear and wicking, but feel wet. Thin merino knits will wick moisture and feel dry even when wet, but I find them very warm. [more inside]
Where is the coolest place I can visit in July or August? Primarily in terms of weather, but also the other type of cool! Preferably in the US, due to cost, but also open to foreign locales if the average flight might be $1000 or less, leaving from the Midwest. [more inside]
I’m 22 year old female EXTROVERT. Super passionate, emotional, awkward. I feel like I have always had a reputation for being kind of lame, awkward and in general a bit strange. I’m not overall socially awkward, but I have pretty big strokes of it: so at parties I can be perceived as being the life of the party, able to talk to everyone and I will have a great time making everyone laugh, I love to dance so I’ll be dancing with everyone--but I’ll come on too strong, or I’ll say something really awkward or I’ll be way too loud and kind of ruin it. I can also be way too TMI, too earnest, too heart-on-the-sleeves, emotionally vulnerable. [more inside]
I was thinking last night that I would would like to start being cooler. One way I have came up with is by using some really cool parting words when leaving work or groups of friends (hopefully I can get some with this new "cool" plan). Some phrases that I came up with were "Stay gold Ponyboy" and "Be Excellent to each other". Now wouldn't I be cool? But that won't get me very far down the road. What are some other awesome Pop Culture phrases I can use to leave a cool impression on people?

I'd like to find some good subreddits that you wouldn't necessarily locate using a simple, type-in-a-likely-name search. Two pairs of examples: r/AskHistorians
(intuitive titles, but maybe you'd try r/history and r/feminism instead), and r/Wheredidthesodago
(impossible to imagine locating via a search).
I'm a single dad and my son will be entering the sixth grade in Ohio this year. What's cool for kids his age (11-12) through and up to 8th grade (13-14)? Looking for suggestions, anecdotes, first-hand experience on fads, trends, clothes, talk, etc.

It's super hot and my dog is getting old. Today I soaked her gently with cool hose water. (She doesn't love it but tolerates it well if I am gentle.) I figure it will help her cool off both as the water is running over her and later as the water evaporates. I am reading online that wet dog fur traps heat. What's the real story?
We're traveling to Kauai next week, staying in Kekaha. I need some ideas for staying cool, especially at night. [more inside]

Looking for videos to create a youtube playlist to entertain a group of science-minded teenagers for about 30 min that are largely visual. Sound is fine but the bulk shouldn't be someone talking to the class like an instructor - visualizations are best - ideally they should look really, really cool. Class is engineering focused, but chemistry, robotics, wobbly bridges, comp-sci, biology, are all welcome. [more inside]
Really excited to bring my daughter to NYC for her first time next weekend. I haven't been for a few years and never with one of my kids (she's 15) so this trip poses some new challenges. I want her to have a blast, as I have every time I've been there, so I thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions. Oh, and we get along great and she's awesome and I love her! [more inside]

I bought a cotton duvet cover a few years ago that is wonderful - it stays cool and if you ever get too warm, you can just flip it over. Unfortunately the store I got it from is now closed and I can't get another one. The other duvet cover I have keeps me way too warm at night time, even with the same duvet underneath. I've noticed that the cool duvet cover feels silkier than the warm one, but is still made of cotton.
Where can I get a duvet cover that keeps me cool? What should I be looking for? Also bonus points for any links to places that ship to Canada.

I would like to buy a collection of display fonts, i.e. fonts that designed more for being used in the headline of ads or editorial layouts i.e. they stand out and don't look like the more typical serifs and sans serifs.
I'm not looking for a particular style (brush, grunge etc) but rather a collection that has examples from numerous styles. Open Type is preferred, but not necessary. Suggestions?
Yes, I know about dafont.com and the like. I'd prefer to buy a collection, thanks.
