I've got a bunch of (important) single .msg files that I want to read on my Mac (10.5.x). Any advice? Any tool that converts entire mailboxes doesn't seem to apply, and the only dedicated .msg reader I could find is broken. Renaming as .txt doesn't work either. Nor does Emailalchemy or NeoOffice. Help!

I have thousands of WMA files I want converted to MP3. Is there a freeware program or a good inexpensive program that will batch convert the files while preserving the original bitrate and ID3 in the final MP3 file and also creating a directory structure such as artist\album? Help me solve an iTunes problem I hope I won't have. My poor little Dell has been working hard all day, processing a .M4V file using the "Convert Selection for iPod" feature in iTunes. After 12 hours it's about 75 percent done, but it's raining here. Our power has a bad habit of going out during storms, and I'll be really depressed if I lose this in-process file if/when the computer reboots. [more inside]

I have a JVC GZ-HD7 Everio HD Camera and I’m having some trouble using the video. I download the video from the camera and it looks great however to use it anywhere requires me to convert it. I’ve tried Camtasia, Sony Vegas 7, Quicktime Pro, several converters like Kingdia and Cucusoft. The end result is always a video that looks like it was shot with a $10 video camera. Is there someway to get the .TOD videos in a usable format that maintains its quality, so I can edit them and create final videos. A tool that would also allow me to letterbox or crop the 16:9 to 4:3. Thanks so much for your time. Have a great one.

I am looking for a server-side application, which will convert Excel documents (separate books or entire documents) along with html files, txt files, and doc files. The application will need to be able to watch folders "HotFolders" and batch convert automatically. I have done a good bit of searching and have not found anything that will work so far. If this was not an application, but was a .dll file this will work as well. Thanks.

At work, we have to deal with many many requests for audio clips. That is, receiving a CD, cutting 30, 60 or 90 seconds (or some other arbitrary length) from some or all of the tracks and turning them into MP3 or FLV files for use on our websites. I'm searching for a way to better automate this process, as it is unbelievably tedious process as you can imagine. My ideal solution would be able to insert a CD (or take a set of mp3 files) and run a program that would let me select start and end points for all tracks or each track individually, select a format (mp3 required, swf/flv nice but not absolutely necessary) and press a button to have it executed. Does anyone know of such a beast?

So in my reckless youth, i created a blog-style resource for gay/les/bi teens to get information on books to read on the subject. (self-link for the purposes of the question). Now i'd would like to convert it into an actual honest-to-god wordpress-backed blog. Is there any way i can make this a more automated process than having to copy and paste each pseudo-entry into an entry of its own. I guess i'm asking for some kind of screen scraper that can output XML or RSS that isn't superduper hard/expensive for this project. I'm sure this is laugh-out-loud simple, but I haven't had any luck finding worthwhile solutions that arent $1500 SQL-enhanced extravaganzae.
