I'm thinking about trying out some of the newer extended wear contacts, specifically the Night and Day contacts that you can wear for up to 30 days straight. Anyone have any experience with these?

What's the difference between 1) expensive contact lens lubricating solution, 2) cheaper non-contact lens eye drops, and 3) cheap-ass saline solution? If I pour saline solution into my eyes with lenses in, will they melt like Nazi eyes beholding the Ark of the Covenant?

Any MeFites have experience with Focus Night and Day contacts? I'm not necessarily interested in sleeping in them, but my current contacts make my eyes uncomfortably dry all the time, so I'd like to know if the N&Ds are as comfortable as they claim.
