I'm a new contact-lense wearer. A couple of weeks ago, I got the Acuvue Moist daily contact lenses from an optometrist. I was told to wear them daily for a week to get used to them. I wore them for about 4 days (5 hours/day) and then I quit wearing them because I had to do a lot of driving on those days and the contact lenses made my eyes feel dry and uncomfortable. So now I'm trying to wear them again but they still feel as uncomfortable as they did when I first began wearing them. I don't have blurry vision when wearing them. They just feel uncomfortable and I know that they are in my eyes. I don't know if it's because I'm still not used to them or that my eyes just can't handle contact lenses. How long did it take you to get used to your contact lenses at first and how did it feel for you?

A strange mismatch is going on between my Mac Contacts and my iPhone contacts.
Even though I'm using a single Apple ID on both machines, certain contacts exist on the iPhone but not the Mac and vice-versa. I haven't been able to find the explanation for this. [more inside]

I recently took my Verizon American iPhone 5s outside the country for the first time and installed a Cosmote sim card on it. Immediately all my contacts on the messages app lost their names and only appear as their American phone numbers, e.g. +1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx. How can I fix this? [more inside]

Need an eye doctor can help my friend get the right contact lens prescription.
She has a strong astigmatism in one eye, the other's normal.
She's been to 4 eye doctors here and gone through many many different lenses shapes w/o success.
For what it's worth, she has lenses that worked before - but from a doctor on the West Coast.

Do you have suggestions for a system that will help me track the many new contacts I'm making as I start up my business? At the moment it's a mish-mash of notebooks, my phone, email, google docs and my (increasingly full) memory of conversations and phone calls. These might be people who've contacted me for a proposal, or it could be someone who says 'You should talk to my friend who does X - I'll put you in touch' and I want to remember to follow up with them later. My therapist has suggested I spend time with people -- not online, but In Real Life -- in order to help me me deal with issues I have with avoiding difficult situations and confrontation.
I thought I would make a list of people I want to spend time with and then periodically 'ask them out' just to spend time and chat about things. Perhaps a lunch or something similar. These could be friends, family, business relationships or just people I respect and would like to spend time with.
CONTACTUALLY already does this quite well but is a bit feature-heavy and is geared towards business contacts. I am looking for something a bit more lightweight and geared toward individuals and personal relationships.
I think just the following features ought to do it:
1. List of people and contact info
2. Reminders to meet periodically that could be changed based on the contact.
3. Ideally, something that could be edited either online AND an app so that its synced.
Looking forward to getting your ideas and input.

I am working on a list since 2004 that I think would be salable. It's publicly available contact information for radio, TV, magazines, syndicates, newspapers, book publishers and agents. I'm a freelancer and I originally started it because I wanted to be able to reach these sources to interest them in my content. But I realized it could be a product. [more inside]

I want a contact management system that will remind me to:
(1) follow up with new people I meet, and track when I do, and
(2) reach out to those people on a regular basis (and track when I do).
Please share your own app-based or text-based system for doing this! [more inside]

The other members of a group activity I'm involved in are geographically spread out and we need an online space to store documents, contact details and a calender. Google groups isn't really going to cut it as there's no calender function and we're currently communicating via Facebook, which is limiting in terms of the document storage side. I could use a combination of dropbox/google calender/facebook but I'd like to keep to one single system if possible, particularly one that doesn't require people to set up additional accounts.

I'm interested in Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia contacts after hearing good things about them. I currently wear Air Optix Night & Day and have worn Focus Dailies in the past. The question is: I noticed that the base curve and diameter for the Oasys lenses are different than the base curve/diameter I currently wear. Oasys: 8.4 / 14.3 vs. Air Optix 8.4 /13.8. I don't want to pay for an eye exam if I couldn't wear these lenses, and I really want THESE lenses. So can I wear them? [more inside]

In short: how do I sync all my contacts between Mac OS X Address Book, iOS, iCloud.com, and Gmail.com? Not as short: In olden days, I used the Address Book app on my Mac to store all my contacts. Everything in there would sync to MobileMe (and by extension, iPhone, iPad and me.com) and Google (for Gmail). After iCloud was released in October, turning on contact syncing between Address Book and iCloud resulted in a message that said if iCloud contact syncing is turned on Google syncing must be turned off. Googling tells me that lots of people are having this problem, but I'm not finding a solution within all the noise. What am I missing? Any settings to change? Any software? Thanks in advance.
