Ok, I have an application that is using a back end of MS Access...I have another application that needs to get some of the data in the Access db but it is only SQL compatible.
So...how do I set up an ODBC connection that will pull data from the Access db and write it out to a SQL db? This data needs to be updated hourly...
Thanks for your assistance!

I want to connect from a Mac OS X machine to a Windows XP running XAMPP (Apache, MySQL, PHP), in order to use an application running on the Windows machine.
At the same time, I want to have the Mac OS X allowing Internet browsing, while Windows should be isolated from the Internet.
Can it be done in some way, or can you suggest a possible setup close to that purpose?

My friend bought an iPad. It works great everywhere but at home - apps take a long time to load or don't load at all. Apple says her existing router (Netgear) is too old and sold her an Airport Express. Can she plug in the existing router to the Airport Express (instead of connecting it to the modem) to create a stronger wireless signal or will that just create conflict? What else can we do?

I have an old GameCube that, until recently, has been chilling with my best friend halfway across the country. Having moved into a new apartment, I thought longingly about the fun I had farming in Harvest Moon, trotting about as Mario, commandeering Link through various worlds, winning the heart of Zel... the point is, that I'm getting it back.

My downstairs neighbor has given me permission to connect to her open wireless network. The network looks unsecured, doesn't ask for a password, just tells me "unable to connect," except once when it seemed to connect but told me I had a weak or limited connection. The signal is strong.

Even after reading these forums, I still can't get my head around exactly what I need to connect my Macbook to my basic, non-HD TV.
What I would love is if someone could give me specific product ID numbers from Monoprice for each cable/adapter that I need. Here are photos of
my Macbook and
the back of my basic, 5-year old Toshiba TV.
Thanks so much!

Hi, I'm looking for a way to show my computer's desktop on my large LCD TV so my wife and I can both see it. I have a used an s-video cable (along with an audio cable) from my laptop to the TV, but there are three problems with this method.
1) requires a reboot of my laptop to make it recognize the TV and play to it
2) text is blurry on the TV due to TV's unsuitability for acting as a computer monitor
3) requires the s-video cable to be plugged into the otherwise wirelessly connected laptop
So I'm looking for a solution that will eliminate these problems. Like maybe something that will just play my desktop as a video signal to the TV and not try to make the TV into another monitor of my computer. Also, I'm not looking for HDTV quality, just watchable video (internet quality would be fine.) Thanks!
