I want to make sure I am doing it in a way to most efficiently use the space I have. I have 2 harddrives. 8gig and 40gig. The 8gig is my primary and 40gig the slave.
What is the best way to set up my directory tree so that the majority of the software is installed to the 40gig and all of the necessary system files are on the 8gig? I use Kubuntu 6.06 and am willing to edit the config files or even reinstall if it seems worth it.x harddrive mount?

I want to expand the number of keys available for mapping as hotkeys in some of my games. Is it possible to connect a second keyboard under Windows XP, possibly a USB one, and use it as, essentially, a very large keypad? If so, how would I go about it without causing IRQ conflicts? [more inside]

I have recently found a free VOIP download call ADCALLS. I want to experiement making telephone calls over the internet. My question is do I need to purchase a computer headset or can I use my computer speakers and just purchase a microphone? I am leary that combining my speakers with a microphone may create a voice loop. However, it will be more convenient to use the speakers/microphone configuration for freedom of movement.

I want to learn IOS and any other Cisco switch configuring protocol stuff. Is there a good resource for this? I kind of need it to get out of a bad situation so learning quick would be much appreciated. I want to learn the fundamentals so that I can a) impress them b) begin the learning curve which is the hardest thing to do in my opinion.

MacFilter: How do you make the screen fonts bigger in OS X? I've just upgraded my grandmother from a virus-infested WinME box to a 17" iMac G5. Unfortunately, the text is much too small for her to read clearly, and she wants her WinMe box back. I've changed the resolution down to 1024x768. Other than seriously degrading the image quality, it doesn't make the fonts much larger.
I'm comfortable working with the command line and editing plists, so don't hold anything back.

I'm looking to create a Wiki; actually several. The issue though is this - I don't want to have to do this twice. I tried blogger...and then after about six months I had really seen most of the blogging community/software and saw that Movable Type had the greatest flexibility + future (there was a time where I almost was going to use Greymatter!)
I was hoping with the collective strenght of Mefi - that someone would say:"yeah, this is the best of the bunch...and with a decent future"
