I work in an insular and highly specialized field. One of the most significant international conferences for my field and sector begins in fewer than 10 working days. My team (including myself, a peer, my boss and his bosses) are slated to present at this conference. No one is scheduling time to work on this presentation, I have no idea what to expect at our presentation, and I do not have the power to induce the other participants to begin working on the presentation. A presentation on assertive negotiation and learning confidence: my time slot is twice as long as I expected! Can you help me brainstorm a group activity to break up the time while illustrating the concepts? Do you have any resources to share? [more inside]
I have to do a 45 minute presentation at a summit next month. I need to give this presentation the practice it deserves. But, everyone is on vacation in England and the school year does not begin until after the summit. I am in England, I have little money, and I really need an audience who know about social enterprise and journalism to tell me what I need to do more clearly for this presentation. can you give me any advice? the conference is in four weeks.
Please help me create a pre-recorded conference presentation and reliable delivery and display method. Thanks!
I'm in the UK, and will be giving a pre-recorded video conference presentation remotely next month in the US. What is the deliverable I should be aiming for (YouTube link, QuickTime video, PDF with MP3, something else?) and what is the easiest, most hassle-free way of creating and delivering it? I've been invited to speak at an event - for an entire hour. How can I keep the audience awake? [more inside]
We are looking at the idea of using a flat-panel TV in our new conference room at work in lieu of a projector. The advantages of this would be that A) we could keep our existing lighting system, and B) it would look classier. Are there disadvantages to a setup this? Problems? Gotchas? And what kind of hardware should I be looking at? [more inside]
