Appropriate to knit during classical music concert?

I am going to a classical music concert tonight at a fancy venue. It's a 2 hour concert indoors with assigned seating and I would absolutely love to bring my knitting with me. I am not sitting anywhere near the front, I will be sitting in the main orchestra level. I would be using bamboo needles, which don't make any sounds and aren't reflective. Is it rude to fellow concertgoers to be knitting openly during the concert?

Best way to get to/park/be at CenturyLink Field in Seattle?

My friends bought me a ticket to see Beyonce for my birthday. I'm so freaking excited! But I'm driving to Seattle form Portland, and after my last stadium show experience, I'm nervous about getting to the venue, parking, and getting to my seat in time. Would love some CenturyLink Field hacks and/or advice from savvy Seattlites. [more inside]

Upcoming folksy concerts in Paris

I'm looking for some concert recommendations in Paris in February or March in the singer-songerwriter/folksy vein. Guitars, good melodies, good lyrics (English preferred). Josh Ritter is a good example. Are there any shows on Songkick (or other aggregators I'm not aware of) that you would recommend? Or maybe your favorite band is passing through on tour? Thanks!

A comprehensive schedule for Christmas Music specials on BBC for 2013?

Every year I look forward to BBC Radio's Christmas music specials (especially choral concerts), including the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve. In 2005 the Beeb broadcast a concert called 'Carols by Candlelight' by the Chapter House Choir that was delightful. And so every year, I scan the schedules of the various BBC Radio services to see what I can find, but I invariably miss something or other (I'm in the US, btw). For all you radioheads in the UK: is there an all-in-one place to go that has a complete list of that kind of thing?

On my old computer (bookmarks now lost, sadly), I used to always go to a site that had free legal downloads of unreleased bootlegs of music shows. There was a bit of an emphasis on classic rock -- Dylan, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, etc. Now I can't remember what it was called! Can anyone help?

When and where did I see Chicago on the "Chicago 16" tour?

Does anybody really know what time it was (in 1982, or 1983, when I saw my first concert...)? For a piece on first-ever concerts, I'm trying to figure out when I saw Chicago on their "Chicago 16" tour. I'm guessing it was 1982 and it was in St. Paul, Minnesota, so probably at the St. Paul Civic Center, though I can't swear to that. Are there any master concert lists for the band Chicago, or a ticket stub somewhere? I'd also be curious to see what we paid and if there was an opening act...

Get me to the concert at the right time!

I have tickets to Flogging Molly tonight at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Work is killing me, and I probably only have an hour and a half (including a half hour of travel time - 15 min to, 15 min from) to slip away for the concert. Doors were at 6 and the tickets say the concert is at 7. What time do you think I should I arrive if I want to avoid any dead time and get a good solid hour of the band? I don't care about any opening act and I don't mind missing the beginning or the end of the set - the goal is to avoid any time just standing around waiting.

Researching Acoustics/Acousticians

I'm looking for information about accoustics and, wait for it, acousticians. How does one train for this? Is it a branch of engineering? Does it entail studying architecture? Music? I've found only very general information or, on the other hand, very technical stuff. I'm looking to be able to ask an acoustician some (mildly) intelligent questions about his work for a broadcast. Any web resources you can think of would be really appreciated. Thanks!
