How to best set up 1 computer & 2 video cards for 2 screens?

I have a computer with built-in video (GMA 3100) [1 D-sub] and also just bought a $20 video card (Radeon X1300) [1 D-sub, 1 DVI]. I'm connecting both my LCD monitor and Projector to the computer. Will I be able to use both video cards at once and show different things? Which of the two D-subs should I connect to? Which screen should get the better (DVI) connection?

I want to have my cake and eat it too

My computer has a wireless adapter (for internet) and an ethernet cable to a router (not internet-connected). How can I let it access the internet while also being able to access the lan through 192.168.1.X? I can only set it to access one or the other, but not both. [more inside]

What can I do with my extra computer?

What are some creative things I can use an extra desktop for? The computer is big, loud, and hot, so I keep it in the pantry with a wireless adapter and access it via SSH or remote desktop. [more inside]

Just like new?

How can I make my computer like-new without a CD drive? I sold my computer, which has Windows XP Pro on it. I want to make it look like a fresh install but don't have a CD drive. Besides, making a new user and deleting mine, what can I do to restore the start menus, default applications, installed programs, registry, etc.? I've modified quite a bit of everything.
