We're in the middle of having a new kitchen installed. As part of the remodel we knocked down a couple of walls. The house has hardwood floors throughout yet the contractor did not put

My fiancée is only 24 years old, but she has osteoarthritis (
see this previous question). As a result, she has a lot of pain, particularly in her back, but she is just generally sore all over. We suspect that her job (customer service in busy cafe with a lot of heavy manual work thrown in behind the scenes in the kitchen and store rooms) may have exacerbated her condition because before she started there, she never felt the sort of pain she feels now after just two years of working there. We're thinking maybe we should get a personal injury lawyer and see if we have a case. Do the medical and legal minds of the hive think we do, too?

Relating to
yesterday's credit check question, how do you reply to a prospective employer who wants your salary history in a way that's fair to your value? So many IT/Web type jobs over the past few years have seen pay rates chopped down. If they ask, and A) I know my former employers don't give out salary information; and B) they don't require some sort of three year old pay stub - then why can't I just fluff it up to my true value again? I don't want to get in trouble, but I'm sick of getting low-balled. There's no way I can let them continue to get away with this! Do you just lie? What's the system?

Is there an easy way to find out what companies provide their employees with a pension and medical benefits after a certain period of time working there? I am looking for a centralized list or such that would tell me all those companies that are local-as I want to look at working at a company like that. A centralized list probably doesn't exist. How do you find out if there isn't a centralized place?
