My company has decided to change our style guidelines to use straight quotes rather than smart quotes. We frequently run document comparisons of revised documents. Is there a way to stop the quotes from showing up as a revision when we compare versions of a document? [more inside]

I need a good and fast tool to compare two folders side by side, with the ability of exclude .SVN and other useless files.
I've found some ones like Compare Folders and DeltaWalker but I haven't tried these yet. Do you recommend them?

I have two versions of a largeish text file, one a slightly modified version of the other. Is there any app I can run in Xp that would report the differences between the two on a line-to-line basis? Could it also do the same for a whole mess of corresponding text files within a large directory structure?
