Looking for suggestions on how to organize and promote an exchange of unused subway fare cards for travelers from Ann Arbor to DC, NYC, SF. Leaning towards a design that minimizes writing code.
I'm heading out to DC Sunday and had to dig around to find the remnants of the last fare - that should have been easy and an opportunity to socialize with the last person who came back with a partly full Metrocard.

Are there any good online communities that deal with relationship issues, specifically a seemingly inevitable (and necessary) divorce with young kids involved? I'm looking for an intelligent, adult dominated place (like here) where I can kvetch, commiserate, and maybe get a little non-worthless outside perspective on my situation. I'm a guy if that makes a difference, but ideally I'd like to find a community that is not gender-specific. Thanks.

I need your help. I'm a licensed acupuncturist and a herbalist. I have been involved in many out reach programs in the past. My goal was to reach out to as many immigrant groups with no to low health insurance coverage and educating them of available resources. The unique experience came working with the Korean community in New York City. This group tends to have such a high stomach cancer rate and about 70% of the patient population I came in contact with tested positive for H. pylori. The standard of treatment for H. pylori is course of antibiotic drugs. I don't know if you guys are aware but if you don't have health insurance to cover for these meds, it cost about $300 out of pocket expense.
So, my thing is this - I wanted to set up a research program using simple herbs that are readily available and in low cost. I know nothing about setting up a research program. What do I need to do and who do I need to talk to? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Am organizing a free outdoor film series in a community park in Jersey City and need a suggestion for the closing show. For the most part the series is not mainstream, shows a balance of local, foreign, independent and classics. Based on the current selection (see below) please brainstorm a great closing show. Please take into account the current and past selections when making your recommendations.

I'm curious what codes are used to create sites such as myspace.com. Obviously html for the design, but what about the rest of the site. It is essentially a database. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea what type of coding is involved for searching and allowing others to fill out forms to create a profile. I'm also wondering what type of equipment would be needed to host and maintain a site such as this.
I'm basically looking for what is involved on the backend on these type of sites.

MacPlungeFilter: I'm one of those "IPod users with a PC" who is thinking about taking the plunge to the other side by adding a Mac Mini to my home network. I don't want to clutter up AskMe with too much product-specific chatter, so my question is, where are some good message boards
I can read to increase my knowledge, of Mac OS X in general and, in specific, what I will need to do to get the Mac to use fileshares and peripherals on my existing network. All the better if the denizens of the community are not hostile to incoming Windoze users.
