Occasionally I feel like I've got extremely mild cold symptoms that go away after a day or two. A very mild sore throat and a slightly stuffy nose, for example. What's going on? Am I catching a normal common cold rhinovirus and my immune system is just fighting it very effectively? Or am I catching a specific mild, almost asymptomatic variety of rhinovirus or some other virus? Or are these just normal non-specific symptoms that are unrelated to a cold? (Asking out of curiosity, not concern).

I've been getting that coming-down-with-a-cold feeling a lot lately, but it hasn't turned into a cold. Is my immune system super effective against cold viruses, or is there some other explanation? [more inside]

The warnings on the Wal-Itin D box say "do not take more than once every 24 hours." Most medications warn against taking more than X every Y hours, but they are usually hedging their bets. Is this kind of medication different, and, if it is, can I take something else that might help without worrying about contraindication?

Here in the US, TheraFlu was reformulated a few years ago (specifics
) supposedly due to the meth panic. Anyhow I feel like I've lost the one thing that actually worked and helped me sleep when I get a cold. Is it feasible to buy the original formula on the gray market from overseas?

Every time I get sick (common cold), I get an itch on my back that persists. It's annoying, but as soon as I get better, it goes away. Anyone have any ideas as to what causes it, or am I just a medical anomaly? [more inside]

I'm battling my third
head cold this year, which is really rare for me. Usually I have one cold per year, maybe two. This is also the first full year I've had the pleasure of working in a cube farm. I'm wondering, is there a correlation between working in cubicles and the spread of diseases? Does anyone have any information to back up this theory?
