Law Review is already killing me, and it hasn't even started

Please help me find a law review topic, hopefully pertaining to Oklahoma. I am tearing my hair out here. I just joined Law Review (it's my 2L year), and we have to have a topic for our note or comment set soon. The deadline is in two weeks.

I've always been bad at picking topics for papers, and creative stuff like that. I joined Law Review because I thought I'd enjoy the editing aspect more, and obviously because of its reputation as a resume-booster. Now I'm seriously regretting this decision because I can't think of anything to write about.

I've checked all the Law Bulletins and Highlights stuff on Westlaw, like the editors mentioned, and I've done many a google search on "Choosing a Law Review topic," but I'm still lost. I read stuff about new cases and circuit splits but I don't know how I'm supposed to formulate a paper out of that; I just can't seem to figure out how to make a case into a thesis.

Even though a comment is longer (40 pages vs. 20 pages for a note), it might be marginally easier to find a topic for one, since it's based on an area of law rather than a specific case. Too bad I still can't come up with any ideas. I thought of something related to the use of chemical restraints in nursing homes (something I researched this summer at an elder law firm), but it was written about by a prof in another law review 5 years ago, and quite thoroughly.

Other ideas I had were related to regulation of whole body donation non-profit companies like MedCure (but I don't know what laws that would really involve, or any cases) or something about adapting Oklahoma's new transfer on death deeds for real estate to also apply to personal property like cars (my boss this summer said you could use them for cars in MO).

I can't think of anything else, really, and I never really talked to any of my professors last year, so I feel uncomfortable asking for help. I also don't know any of my profs this semester, so same problem.

Please help me if you can, by giving any sort of advice or suggestions for Oklahoma-y topics. Thanks!

I've got a personal site/blogg-ish thing and I get comment spam. The odd thing is that much of it doesn't contain any links. It's just some random words. What is the point of this? Here's some samples:
I mean obviously in this case it's from some sort of shady online pharmacy, but there are no links to that pharmacy site anywhere in the comments, nor even it's name. So what is the point of this link-less, sales-pitch-less spam?

is there an application that works on a mac that will allow me to post comments to multiple myspace friends at once? myspace is such a pain in my ass. i'm managing a page for this all girls bicycle gang in milwaukee, and we need to send out comment postings to our members pretty regularly. we have about 175 friends, so it takes me FOREVER. i know there are programs that work on a pc that will allow you to post comments to multiple people at a time. the problem is i have a mac (specifically, a powerbook g4 running os x 10.4.11). is there anything i can use on a mac that will allow me to post comments to all my myspace members at once? or at least a bunch of my members at once? i'm hoping i don't have to install virtual pc to do this. but if that's the only way, what kind of experience have you had with virtual pc? can i trust it?

Looking for a CMS or Forum that supports anonymous posting.

Looking for a CMS or Forum that supports anonymous posting. I'm creating a complaint/gripe type of site, and I need a script or method for visitors to post items to the main page (probably w/ verification), and then allow a comment or forum system tied to it that also supports anonymous posting.

If no such CMS is available, is there are forum solution that does this?

Best way to deal fairly with non-spam, malicious comments on a personal blog?

Best way to deal fairly with non-spam, malicious comments on a personal blog? Deleting them straight away, or allowing such comments but following up with an answer/reply?
I have a pretty boring personal blog (website in profile), where I post occasionally. One old blog post (with my thoughts on the Obama assassination fears) has seen consistent traffic and a few comments over the last few months - some comments to date have been on the "internet crazy" side, but fairly benign. Then today, someone added a comment stating their intention to commit a murder/suicide, should Obama become president. This comment is currently in my moderation queue.

Now, my first instinct was to just delete it. But if I delete this comment, I should probably go back and delete some of the others too - even though they were not quite as bad. I originally decided to post them since it's always fun to get comments, and because I think some of the crazies out there are interesting. Also, what's the point of allowing comments at all if I'm going to uber-moderate them?

The other option would be to allow this comment, and then make a very strong statement against it. A friend suggested that I should say that I have forwarded the commenter's IP address to the appropriate authorities, then address the inappropriate nature of the comment. I don't know, though, maybe that's overkill.

The only substantive discussions I've seen online on allowing/not allowing negative/malicious blog comments have been about business-related blogs. I am very interested to hear about how others deal fairly with this sort of thing. Thanks!

I'd like some Wordpress functionality, please?

I want 2 things from my self-hosted Wordpress blog - to be able to save a published post I'm editing with a keyboard shortcut, and to have a "reply" button on the comments. How can I get these things? Keyboard shortcuts: I can use the shift+alt+p shortcut to publish a post. But I often edit a post later on, then have to save it. Is there a shortcut that will let me save the posting as opposed to publishing it? On Googling, I've found that I can edit a .js file to edit existing keyboard shortcuts, but I've no idea what to put in it. Is there a plugin that will let me do this instead? Or some other way of achieving it (such as a Greasemonkey script)?

Reply button: You know how on Lifehacker they have the reply feature where you can reply to a specific person, and their name will appear as @ username? See here for an example. Can I get a plugin that will allow me to do that, or, again, a greasemonkey script?

Thank you to anyone who can help.

Adding functionality to a static, html website?

I'd like to add a comments section to my website ..., and some kind of non-obtrusive rating system (like 1 to 5 stars). I'm not a code jockey, and my website is a simple html/css outfit with no backend, so it needs to be relatively easy to install, but configurable so it can fit with the look of the site. What are my options?

Website Markup Commenting Services

I need to evaluate a website design and I remember seeing an online service that allows you to markup a website with comments ontop of the design but my Google searching abilities are failing me. Thought I seen it on lifehacker.com or other similar site. I know simple way would be to take a screenshot and doing the commenting in photo editing software. Not looking for that, the site I'm thinking of had lots of snazzy features that would make the comment look a lot better then I could do on my own.

What is a comment spammers modus operandi?

Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster. -- Sun Tzu
I get a lot of blog spam on my website and it got me thinking; if I am to fight it more effectively I need to learn more about it. How is it actually sent, what software or scripts do people use, and where do these people hang out on the Internet?
I don't need any information on how to fight comment spam (I can do that just fine) or why they do it (for links and $$$). But any info and the technical aspects of spamming would help me learn about the enemy.

efficient c++ comments?

Good utilities for writing comments in visual c++ (2005)? I am trying to document some C++ code written in Visual Studio 2005 and was wondering is there is an easier way to add and format comments? I've looked at CommentMakerPro and was not too impressed. If I was doing C# Id try GhostDoc, but alas I am not.
