There's a Batman panel I have a clear, but possibly flawed memory of.. where is it from?
Likely written well after, but taking place shortly after The Killing Joke, I have a clear image of Barbara Gordon, in the hospital, talking to Batman (or possibly Bruce Wayne), realizing she'll never walk again, never be batgirl again, that this incident has derailed her entire planned existence, and essentially saying something to the effect of "I've heard when the police pulled up, you were standing there laughing with the man who did this to me, and I wanted to know.. were you laughing at me?"
Where is this from? It can't just be in my head, can it?

Can webcomics fans point me to some good online manga or graphic novel type comics? Bonus points if the story is complete and I don't have to wait for an update every week (side question - why is it so hard to find webcomics that are completed?). Sex, violence, serious, silly, whatever, as long as the story is engaging and the artwork is well done. [more inside]

We found this comic book
(or whatever it is) in the house among the previous owners' things. It was in a box of papers from the 1930's and 1940's but I can't guarantee that it is as old as that. I scanned the cover and a few pages, but cannot read Japanese. It's as thick as a copy of Wired Magazine (many pages). Any ideas?

LOLcats teach us that cats can write, they just don't have very good spelling or grammar. The same idea has been used in advertising ("Eat Mor Chikin") and of course Far Side cartoons. Was Gary Larson the father of this concept, or were there other places where it was pervasive before he came along? [more inside]

What is the word for phrases such as "meanwhile", or "in an entirely different place altogether"? The sort of words you would see in the narrative box of a comic strip that contextualises the action. Do you have any rather verbose examples?

I have just run across several good comic book series, in particular Chadwick's Concrete
, Azzarello's 100 Bullets
and the Sin City graphic novels. Its an area that I am unfamiliar with, and there does seem to be a lot of literate writing out there. I would love to find a site that could help me separate the wheat from the chaff and that would keep me posted of new good material. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to remember what the name of an comic strip available online I saw several years ago. It was set in college and the main character was male and outlandish, always doing crazy things, etc. Towards end of the run, he doesn't like the "script" so he decides to make big changes before the comic ends, including leaving his wife and child. Any ideas? [more inside]
