Best comic books for a three-year-old?

What comic books should I buy for an (understandably illiterate) three-year-old? So heavy on the (beautiful, inspiring) artwork, and light on the dialogue. Her parents will be reading along, but I want something the little bugger can also appreciate with her eyes only.

Please help me find a vaguely-remembered graphic novel

I'm trying to help a friend find a graphic novel he read years ago and would like to re-read. Here's what he remembers: There were three volumes, each a large (8 x 12) soft cover book of around 100 pages (about an inch thick). There was no indication that they were published in serial form previous to these volumes, which were probably published in the mid 90's. The art was simple and unadorned, pen and ink, and mostly in regular equal square frames. The story was a real-world fantasy about spiritual awakening, but it was not religious and there were no battles; it was a story about a seeker finding himself. The title may have included the word Journey and the author/artist may have a name like Wasserman (though I've googled the hell out of those two details and had no luck.)

Help identifying a 1970s comic book where the villain was a gas pump...

Probably early to mid 1970s, color, possible a free giveaway, likely newsprint cover, maybe ecology / gas shortage / conservation themed? Cartoony superhero style probably. I remember getting this as a kid at an outdoor public event on the west coast of BC, Canada - but I assume it wasn't a location-specific comic. It might have been a premium / advertising / educational thing. I've been trying to identify it for years, but that's about all the info that I can recall. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I need to be a better illustrator!

Help me become a better (comic book style) artist so I can illustrate my own scripts. I need to become better at sketching, primarily. The human figure mainly, but also backgrounds and layouts. I don't have $$ for an extensive course, so I'm looking primarily for books and online tutorials. (I also need to find artists to illustrate scripts I don't have time to do myself, if anyone's interested.) Thanks.

Help finding "Dialectic Materialism" comic book

While some of us as children were reading Life is Hell and Mad Magazine, Marjane Satrapi was reading comic books on Marxist theory.
