I saw a graphic novel in a store today - the sequel to an earlier work, about a female high school student's adolescence, and written by a woman. Any ideas on what it could have been? [more inside]

In Nashville TN there is a great place called The Great Escape which used to, and may still, sell crappy old comic books for 15 to 25 cents apiece. Is there such a place in the NYC area?

Has anyone done an epistolary comic book? It's not obvious to me how such a project could work and I'm interested in seeing what, if anything, artists have done with the form. I'm also interested in recommendations for good epistolary novels. I've already looked at the wikipedia page on epistolary novels and I plan to read some of the novels mentioned there.

Where can I find an on-line checklist (sorted by month) of Marvel comics released in the 1970s? I've run out of google ideas. I found a fantastic silver age checklist, more detailed than I actually need for the seventies, but can't find information for 1972 and beyond. (Only this chronology, which is informative, but not what I'm after.)
