I’m trying to get Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard to show me the colors I expect. I’m using it to do some basic color selection, which will ultimately be pasted into a Python script that generates data graphics for use on the web. Part of my workflow involves screen captures from a browser that get round-tripped through Photoshop and into code, so I need basic RGB hex values to stay consistent through the process.

UnhealthyGrapeVineFilter: Can anyone help me identify what's causing this leaf discolouration on my grape vine? Is it anything to worry about? I'm not sure if it's natural colour change, disease, mineral deficiency or more than one of these things happening at once. The vine is two years old, fruiting quite heavily, on a very sunny south aspect on a poor mix of clay and various stones. I don't know the variety but it's a standard garden centre dessert grape. The photos are in a what I think is a chronological sequence:

I'm speaking at a technical conference in about 2 weeks and my slides (in openoffice) are using black as its background color. But recently in a
podcast, several people commented that for conferences, it is mandatory that slides use white for the background to enhance the legibility. On
this previous question, the commented used white text on an almost black background. Should I reformat my slides to use a white background ?

Is there data supporting the claim that wearing the color red is a bad choice for teachers in the sense that it negatively affects a student's attention, comfort level, etc.? I know a college professor that
never wears red because of this. If so, are there other colors good-or-bad to wear? Can I blame my 6360 angstrom magenta cable-knit sweater on the Is-This-Gonna-Be-On-The-Test day I've been having in my class? Would a brown leg bandanna make my students own the quadratic formula?

why a white tint very specifically applied to one part of a photo taken in the 1920s – for the purpose of deliberate deception – would have turned a dark, purplish navy color over time?
