How Do I Learn to Stop Worrying and Love Art School?

Due to a mix of laziness, depression, social anxiety and loneliness, I'm not doing too great in school. I really need to get it together, and I just don't know how to do it. I feel tapped out at the end of the day and I'm tired of it. I like art, but going to school for it just isn't very fulfilling. I'm thinking I just need to get through it and I'll be okay, but how do I develop the work ethic that my classmates have? [more inside]

Wait, you knew the whole time and didn't tell us?!

I go to a California community college that writes course descriptions for every class it offers, but it doesn't display them on the actual class schedule. The college has an obscure web application (which I just found) that will give you the description if you enter in the course number, but it's barely advertised (it took me three semesters to find it). How do I go about getting the (much needed) course descriptions displayed with the class schedule? Is this an issue I need to join the ASB to get publicised? Is there another way to go about this? I want to make a stink, because for a year and a half now I've been dealing with inadequate or often nonexistent class descriptions which have made choosing the appropriate classes a challenge. Visual Communication is close enough to Graphic Design, right?

I want to be a web designer. Am I making a big mistake trying to transfer from community college into San Francisco State's Visual Communication Design major rather than Cal State Long Beach's Art with an Option in Graphic Design or San José State's Graphic Design BFA? I currently live in southern California (Long Beach, to be specific), but want to get away. [more inside]

Computer Engineering, or Linguistics? Or maybe web design... and how do I fit travel in there?

I'm having a lot of angst about whether to continue with my major, Comp Engineering, or to find something else, such as linguistics or web design. Can you give me some perspective? [more inside]

Anyone got a room for rent in Fullerton, CA? How 'bout advice on said subject?

I live with my parents, and I'm searching for a place to live for the first time. Somewhere near Cal State Fullerton. A question about credit checks, and how to improve my search. [more inside]

Long time listener, first time caller

I'm failing Trig. What would be a good makeup assignment to suggest to my teacher? Do college teachers even do that kind of thing? [more inside]
