I am graduating next May (2013) with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Computing Technology from Colorado State University. I have 3 years IT & Network Support experience and just about 2.5 years web development experience through Student positions. I've done the whole freelance thing for the last 5 years as a Wordpress theme guy. How do I approach getting a full time job after college?

In the last couple months I've come to realize that I am not alone. My personality is my problem and it is what has made this post-college thing so hard on me.
ENTPs are sort of visionaries who can be the best and innovate and succeed at anything we put our heart to but we get bored very easily if we aren't socially, creatively satisfied and doing some "analysis" or "innovation" or "problem solving". We also don't take well to being "told what to do".
(Sort of like a cross between Steve Jobs (visionary, creative, secretly self-obsessed) Calvin (from the comic), Jack Sparrow, The Joker, and Wile E. Coyote. )

I'm looking for a sampling of where biochemistry students wind up after college. Basically, where did you start out and where did you end up? How difficult was it for you to find a position out of college?

How should I go about contacting non-profits about taking me, a relatively inexperienced college sophomore, on as an unpaid summer intern? I'm contacting these organizations cold, and could use some help figuring out my initial approach- what information should I include? Is there anything I can say that will make the recipient of my email more likely to seriously consider my proposal? Do I even stand a reasonable chance of that happening to begin with?

I need to find a summer job. Ideally I'd like to do something related to education, as I'm hoping to work in education (explained in more detail inside) when I'm finished with my own education - but I am much more interested in research and theory than in classroom work, so I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas. I'm interested in ideas that are very tangentially related to education as well as ones that are very related.
