Need help identifying an old Harley Davidson leather biker cap. Pics inside. My mother is an avid resale shopper and collects items she finds unique and usually asks me to find information on them, but my google-fu has failed me on these couple items. We're mostly interested in it's history, how old they are.

Pics Here

Harley Davidson leather biker cap - "Brando" style, I've found many generic ones and a newer HD cap, but this one, I can't find any info. Only words on it are the stamp:
Licensed By Harley Davidson
Genuine Leather
Made in U.S.A.

Mickey Mouse matching umbrella and handbag set - If I had to guess it appears 80s/early 90s in style.

cards! get your cards here!

What do I do with thousands upon thousands of collectible trading card game cards? (Mostly from the Star Trek TCG.) (Boy that's an awkward use of the word "card"...)

So I inherited six or seven very large boxes that each hold thousands of cards from several collectible trading card games, most of them being Stark Trek, and also a some boxes of a few other games I've never heard of (WARS, The Spoils, and another one I can't remember). Since I'm actually a Trek fan I got together some buddies and we gave it a shot, but gave up halfway through skimming the manual, and it turned into Calvinball-style card playing for a little while before we decided we did have better things to do in life. So much for that.

Now I have to figure out what to do with all these cards. Does anyone actually still play with these anymore? Is there a market for it? (My geekiness is in video games, not card games.) From what I can tell the Star Trek cards are first edition and apparently they're on second edition now, and the rules are completely different, but does anyone still want/play first edition?

I can probably just sell the whole thing, but I don't know where to start, and I'd prefer to sell or give it to someone who can actually use it, not just a reseller. I can probably sell pieces of it myself via ebay or whatever, but that takes time I don't have. I can probably use them in some kind of magnificent art project; anyone have any ideas? or anyone have an art project in dire need of some nerdy cards?

As far as selling goes, I think it would be fun to take these to a local comic book convention (or similar) and set up my own table for a couple of days. Anyone try this before?

Fun uses for old Macintosh?

I inherited a fully-functional Apple Macintosh Plus computer complete with external SCSI hard drive. What are some cool things I can do with it? I picked up a fully functional and complete Apple Macintosh computer via Craigslist a while back. I have a thing for old computers and I felt pretty fortunate to find this fine a specimen to add to my small collection (added bonus - it was free!). Plus, it's just really cool to play with. It has, though, just been sitting in the corner of my room since I got it and I'm starting to wonder what cool things I can do with it.

I don't know what kind of specs it has (haven't figured out how to determine that) nor do I know what OS version it is running. I do know it seems pretty well useless without the external 20MB hard drive attached. The person I picked the Macintosh up from left a good amount of his personal information on it so besides finding a cool use for it (besides as a collectors item), I'd like to get it cleaned up properly and maybe do a clean OS install.

I'm hoping the HiveMind can give me some fun ideas. Thanks everyone!

Mefi political memorabilia junkies: Tell me what this political collectible is worth/ how I can find out/ how/where I can sell it! Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Special Train breakfast menu from 1948, autographed by Harry Truman I have a breakfast menu from the Rio Grande special Presidential train Harry Truman took on his 1948 whistlestop tour. It's in pretty much perfect condition, and signed by the man himself... My Dad gave it to me a few years back, along with a box of assorted political photos and memorabilia he had in his office before he retired, and I hadn't thought about it much until recently. I showed it to a coworker who has some interest in that sort of thing, and he was of the impression that it might be worth quite a bit...
How do I price tag on my booty?

Who sets how much old and collectible video games are worth? How do they know? (examples with Monkey Island inside) I wonder if the answer is somewhere along the lines of "they charge whatever people are willing to pay for it" but sellers don't act in a vacuum. There's got to be some feedback for whether a game is worth $50, or $100, or they wouldn't know what to put on the price tag.

I'm wondering, because I noticed that my Monkey Island games are worth a whole lot more than what I paid for them-- on Amazon, anyway. f you look at the listings for Monkey Island Madness even the *CD itself* is "worth" just over $50. But is this just a case of sellers trying to gouge unsuspecting buyers, or a case of three clueless sellers following the lead of one unscrupulous one, or are people actually paying that much?? If I look on eBay, there's only one completed listing for this game and it didn't sell (granted they tried to sell it for $60)-- but the lack of postings don't look like there's really a huge market for them.

Similarly: why is the original Curse of Monkey Island just under $30 while the re-release is nearly $100? I thought originals were worth more than re-release copies? (I have the original one.) Again, are people actually paying $100 for this?

...and Monkey Island 2 for $85? I also have this! And the price, like all the rest, looks too good to be true!

Which all brings me to the generic question, for future reference: Is there a kind of "blue book" or price guide somewhere for old computer games/video games? Realistically, what is the best way to put a price tag on what my old games are really worth?

Where in Chicago can I have old baseball / sports cards graded for condition, and how much can I expect to pay for this service? I have some old baseball cards along the lines of Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, etc. I would like to sell these on eBay. While browsing the completed auctions for price estimates, I noticed cards that had "grades" on them with official looking barcode printouts were getting much more money than similar quality cards without grades. So I'm looking into how much that service costs. Anyone know where to have this done in Chicago?

Also;

How are cards like these generally shipped through the mail? Just plastic sleeves in an envelope?

Would taking these cards to a dealer be a better way of selling them? Or would I get less than on eBay?

I'm looking for a particular Dell Donald Duck comic book (I don't know the story line, only what the front cover looks like), and no, don't know the issue number, etc. My guess somewhere between 1958 and 1964, but purely a guess. What's the best "source" to try and identify the comic book in question? [description of the front cover, follows]Thanks! The front cover had a full length Donald Duck that took up most of the front cover, his arms were out to the left (as you're looking at the front cover) and he was holding an alarm clock.
