I want to set up a collaborative blog with some colleagues. What software should we use? I'm not entirely averse to dealing with hosting and so on, but would prefer something that works "out of the box" or even better, is a free service. [more inside]

I've recently moved my blog to a collaborative environment and we're using Wordpress (and I have been for over a year now), but I'm having trouble figuring out a way for us to work that is as seamless as possible with the Wordpress install. I need some help figuring out what tools to use! [more inside]

I need a way for users to edit a timeline online. It doesn't have to be elaborate; it just has to allow a user to add an event to a history timeline. I'm too swamped to build my own solution. We're running IIS with classic ASP. Ideas for getting this pulled off? [more inside]

I'm looking for a free online collaborative calendar/spreadsheet app to schedule volunteers. I'd like it to have time down the left side and 3 columns with titles and the whole thing can be group edited. I need 7 consecutive days of 1-hr slots from 8am to midnight. [more inside]

Is there a free application (web-based or otherwise) available that lets you type something with other people? Not Writeboard - something where you can actually see other people typing and erasing with you in real time.

Need help finding a www link. The page describes artist/group project where a group meet regularly and create a large collaborative drawing about current news & events. The page had images of some of the past drawings and description of the process and I think I found it via a blog post describing it as a visualisation.

I'm trying to set something up for a whole bunch of people with busy schedules. Is there a free web app, or open source hosted script, that allows a group of people to schedule something, and show where the conflicts are? (As in Outlook, but free, and collaborative)

A few months ago I came across an animated movie documenting the development of a wiki page. Essentially it was made up of screen grabs generated by going through the edit history of a document. Much googling and MeFi/Boingboing searching hasn't amounted to much. Anyone know where this is? Am I imagining this? Also: Does anyone know of an easy way to create a similar animation with a PMWiki page?

The better business bureau seems to be kinda worthless. Is there a generic website where I can go to rate local businesses that isn't awash with tons of ads or filler? I'm thinking something craigs-list-ish, but searchable, with Amazonian filtering (the website, not the large women, although that would be cool too). I think I just got ripped off by a tire store, and I'm tired of going through life a victim. Lazyweb, take me away!
