Bought a cheap wooden coffee table. Want to decorate it in a weird way. Any suggestions? It's your typical rectangular shape, nothing special. Some scratches on top. Design style: eclectic.

Hello dearest Hive:
Any of you by chance crafty bastards? Here's what I want to do.
I have the proofs from my first book, and would like to cut out and make a collage of all the pictures, glue them to an old hunk of countertop that i can stick some IKEA legs on and make into a coffee table.
I guess what I need is best practice as far as glue, and what to cover it in. I understand there is some sort of stuff you can spray/paint on to seal it...or I could go with the stick a hunk of glass/plastic across the top.
any info will be greatly appreciated.

I have this amazing idea for a book that has never been done before and will sell like hotcakes. (No, seriously!) But I have absolutely no idea where to start. What do I do?

I have a glass-top wood coffee table with a broken glass top. Instead of replacing the glass, I'd like to turn it into a tile top coffee table. Since the glass is broken, what kind of backing should I glue the tiles to?

I am shopping for a new coffee table and found
this one at Crate and Barrel. It's a black aluminum frame with with slots for 8 large tiles. You can buy the frame without the tiles and supply your own.
I'm looking for others like it.

So I just bought
this table. The seller says the designer is possibly
Kurt Østervig. I'm looking for more definitive info (designer/year/model name/whatever) and am wondering if any MeFites can help. Know anything about it? Thanks!
