This doesn't look like $265 of laboratory glassware, but that could be because I don't know the first thing about buying laboratory glassware beyond buying some $5 borosilicate flasks once for making yeast starters, and ignorance breeds confidence. How would one go about effectively replicating this device with off-the-shelf components from an online lab supplier? Extra lives for links!

I like drinking out of teeny tiny cups. If drinking a beverage involves repeatedly pouring it out of a large container into a cup that holds like 5 sips, I'm into it. Please tell me every conceivable example of this.

I am looking for a specific type of coffee maker and hoping you have one that you love! I do not want a French press or other, similar, maker; nor do I want the style that uses those little cups (Krups). I do want a smaller drip machine that I can limit to 2 cups (4 cups max is fine), that works efficiently, and doesn't cost a ton of money. Something that also grinds beans would be fine but I understand that might make the cost a lot higher.

How can I heat up milk for my coffee at work and without a microwave or stovetop? Is there some kind of stand-alone gadget that will heat (not just froth) milk, while being office-appropriate?

Why won't my moka pot (italian stovetop coffee maker) make me a decent cup of coffee? half of the water seems to be unable to come up from the bottom part to turn itself into delicious, morning-saving coffee.

I have a
20-oz Starbucks Tervis tumbler. I want to replace the lid/straw with a "travel lid" since I'm trying to go straw-free. I see
travel lids for the 24 oz. Tervis tumblers and I wonder if the 24 oz. lid would fit. Anyone got the 24 oz tumbler? What's the lid diameter/circumference (my cup diameter is ~9.5 cm)? Anyone else find another lid for the special-snowflake Starbucks 20 oz. tumbler?>

How are these so called 'baristas' ruining my coffee, and how do I make them stop? Sometimes I get a flavourful coffee, full of body, other times the same drink will be tasteless and worse than a cheap instant yet I can see they have put the same amount of shots in. I'm talking about the same shop in some cases, it must be a training issue but what do they need to learn? For info I drink mainly Americanos but have experienced similar with lattes. More inside.

I've had the mini Keurig for about a year and I've tried various k-cup coffee brands and flavors. I haven't found a brand or flavor that is strong enough for me. It seems like after I add a bit of cream to my coffee, I can't taste the coffee or the flavor. I love the keurig machine, its quick and I'm the only one in family that drinks coffee. Any k-cup brands suggestions?

I have a leak in my coffee pot's water tank, and upon examination, I cant see where the leak is coming from (meaning that the whole bottom generally gets too wet to detect the crack). I was thinking I would run a thin bead of some kind of material around the bottom of the tank to attempt to seal it back up. My question is: what kind of material would you recommend that would not pose any toxin problem in case the tank water comes into contact with it? It would also have to be generally heat tolerant as the coffee pot heats up under there.

I love coffee, but it's getting hard for me to find coffee I like which doesn't break the bank or make me ill. Dark roasts smell like burnt sweat socks to me, and lighter roasts are too acidic/sour. I used to be okay with medium-to-light roasts that were "breakfast blends" or which were nutty/chocolatey/spicy rather than fruity/winey (according to the vendor's descriptions) but lately that system has let me down and all coffee seems too acidic/sour.
Why have I "gone off" coffee, and what other coffee (bean/roast/brewing method) should I try?
