Quiet Coffee Shop Upper West Side

NYCfilter: Help me find a quiet coffee shop on the upper west side. I need to meet someone for a recorded interview on the upper west side (because its a good halfway point for both of us). I'm looking for a location that will be relatively quiet, but won't mind us hanging out and talking for an hour. So ideally a place that is equal parts hangout and study area? Also no table service would be ideal. Googlefu is not doing it. Yelp reviews do not seem to focus on noise level. Any help is appreciated. It's happening on a Saturday.

Customizing an I-Am-Not-A-Paper-Cup.

I'd like to have a drawing, which I have as a jpeg, printed onto a porcelain I am not a Paper Cup. Does anyone know where I can have this done in NYC? This is to be a gift for a coworker. It would be perrrrrrfect, so I hope it can be done.

Somewhere below 50th in Manhattan and Williamsburg, BK would be ideal, but I can be a little flexible if necessary. The main thing is that it either be open on weekends or in midtown close to my office.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Wherefore art thou coffe-o

Where can I find cold-brewed coffee within a 5 block radius of East 59th St. and Lexington Ave, New York, NY? I've recently joined the cult of cold-brewed coffee. I generally make my own on a nightly basis and bring it to work in a thermos. I occasionally forget to brew my daily coffee the night before. Does anyone know of any coffee shops, delis, street carts, or whatever, within a few blocks of here that serve cold-brewed coffee?

Quiet places to work and drink in New York

New Yorkers: where are the best coffee shops, cafes, bars for a spot of work or a quiet read? Help me get the most out of my me-time, or at least minimize the pain of having to work out of office hours.

Desirables:

Friendly staff

Decent regulars

Not too cramped

Laptop friendly

A quiet atmosphere conducive to concentration

I quite like the sorts of places that have esoteric books on the wall and a bit of history in the decor. My own recommendations would be Vbar on Sullivan Street, and 71 Irving. Both of them are excellent establishments, but I'd love to hear about other great places for quiet Saturday afternoons and weekday evenings.

Many thanks in advance.

Good whole bean coffee in NYC?

Looking for Intelligentsia quality coffee in NYC--around Chelsea, if possible. I'm about to have an extended stay in NYC for work and will be staying in an apartment that has a coffee maker (hallelujah!) but no grinder. As such, I would like to have a nice stash of coffee. I'm a groupie of Intelligentsia coffee here in Chicago and would like something of that caliber. The place should offer whole bean, in 1/2 and full pound bags and be able to grind on site. I'm staying in Chelsea but know my way around the city.
