looking for a decent windows terminal

I'm looking for an alternative to windows' CMD window/terminal. It isn't the shell itself that has me annoyed (although it stinks and monad is an improvement), but the terminal window. I'd love to have something like xterm or rxvt running- just the ability to resize the width of the window would be huge. [more inside]

BBEdit equivalency?

On the Mac, if I need to munge text in extremis, I prefer to use BBEdit. Recently, on the PC, I am finding myself in need of a text editor which is similar to BBEdit. I will use it both for coding and for text-cleaning. I prefer freeware and shareware but that's by no means the deciding factor. Which programs should I check out? Which should I avoid? [more inside]

I'm trying to code a list of links to all open in the same new browser window. Since every link in the document should open in the same window, I'm using the {base} tag, for the sake of simplicity and size, but I've also tried adding "target='random_name'" to every single link on the page. Nothing's working. All the links are opening in new windows. Help?
