How do I get my coworker to back off and remain in the friend zone that he so desperately tried to put me in? Now that I don't want him, he wants me! He never told me about his girlfriend, brought her up one day, lied and said he broke up with her, and now he's in my face. I don't see him in that way anymore though. How do I get him to see that?

How to deal with a hidden hierarchy in a small office, where a male co-worker who is close with my supervisor seems to be using his position to single me out because he may be personally interested in me?

Please help me come up with an appropriate gift for an injured colleague. (Warning: the injury description within is a little gruesome, but, I think, necessarily so. Please be advised if you're squeamish.)

One of my coworkers has a personal blog which periodically has some Very Ugly entries about other coworkers. I mean, seriously, vulgar and uncalled-for entries.

A co-worker has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Treatments have stopped and Hospice is now involved.
He is 61 years old and has been working at the company for 40 years.
We are an engineering firm and most of the employees are kind of... well... not the type to try (self-start) and do something for our co-worker of his family.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do and/or have the office do to help, comfort, etc
Obviously sending 'get well' cards is out of the question.
... I just don't know what it is appropriate.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

work related question. A co-worker I work with very closely threatened my verbally and physically, claiming I was doing a poor job. I reported to my supervisor, and said co-worker denies it.
What should I do (other than quitting, but I like the job) I have been there 3 years and this came out of the blue. I feel now I have to resign.
Suggestions?

I'm looking for small gift suggestions: a co-worker of mine recently learned that her daughter needs a second knee surgery, and she (my co-worker) has to take several weeks off work to care for her daughter, who will be mostly home-bound for a month. Both mother and daughter are depressed and stressed out by the prospect, and I want to get something for them to enjoy when the daughter (who is in her 20s) is recuperating. I'm looking to spend around $25.

What can/should you do for a co-worker in your department who only has a few weeks left to live, and is already at the hospital?
Even if you aren't particularly close, one has the feeling one should do
something. But what?
