Recommend me a CMS for my video podcast

I need a recommendation on what CMS / Blogging system to use for my video podcast. My big restriction: The main homepage of my site is flat HTML -- I want it to stay that way, but include a very abbreviated version of the blog (i.e., "links to the last five posts only") on it, via an iframe or something similar. What's the best system to use to do this? [more inside]

Real Estate website CMS

I am doing some part time networking/maintenance work for a real estate office. To post a new listing on their site, they have to get the owner's brother-in-law (who has his own job and lives three hours away and assigns priority to his b-i-l's company accordingly) to generate the page for the listing and change the index page and get them uploaded. I know there are several CMS packages aimed at the needs of a Real Estate company. Anyone have any experience with any of these? Free would be nice but not required.

Best CMS for user-driven podcasts? I want to set up a site where users will login and submit podcasts, and then be able to access them by each user's RSS feed, or to add them to category feeds etc. Is there a CMS (Drupal, Joomla, etc) that will facilitate this?

workflow for InDesign -- K4

Help me understand K4, the workflow engine for Adobe InDesign. How tightly integrated is it with the Adobe suite? Is it the best/only choice for that phase of content management, or does it provide just the basic CM functionality (library services, versioning, etc.) found in any enterprise CMS worth its salt? In other words, how many content management systems does it take to run a (mid-sized) publishing company?

WordPress's "pages" and external editors

I have WordPress installed on a site just to post (what they call) "pages," i.e. not blog entries but just editable content chunks. But neither of the external editors I've tried (MarsEdit & ecto, both on OSX 10.4) support "pages" through WordPress's XML-RPC interface, just normal "posts." Is there any external editor that can support remote editing of pages in WordPress?

Simple, customizable group website software/host?

I am helping an alumni/student association set up a simple website that would ideally include news items, photo albums, a calendar and basic static information about the group--its mission statement, history, and past activities. They'd probably also like to be able to create mailing lists around different interests on the fly, and then also browse those topics. Yahoo Groups is probably a little less than we want, but the other options seem like they would require too much customization (Plone) or too little flexibility (Typepad) Are there good alternatives (even fee based ones) that help groups communicate their missions to the public and staty organized? We're using PBwiki to generate content (that's working well) but it's not pretty enough for a public face--I feel the same way about JotSpot. Any recommendations? I thought I remembered a new player in this space, but can't recall them now.

How can I manage my paper documents using my computer?

Document management. I get a lot of paper documents (bills, letters, invoices, etc) and want to catalog them digitally. I want a program that scans a sheet (or multiple sheets), turns them into PDF and catalogs them (title, category, and maybe even del.icio.us style tags). Acrobat will do the first two stages, but I want something that does the cataloging too. Any suggestions? OCR not needed whatsoever.
