I build Flash applications for a living. I generally make them configurable via an xml file. I'm looking for a quick and easy solution that would allow me to set up a form that clients could fill out when they want to update the xml. NOTE: everything needs to be hosted on the client's site, to which I often have limited access. So I don't want a solution that involves complex DB management.

I have lost my bookmark! I am trying to find a website that gives information about a typed-in URL. Once you submitted the URL, it immediately returned technical information about the site. It might have been SEO related, but the most useful feature was that it was able to tell you the CMS the site was on (assuming it was a fairly commonly used CMS.) Does anyone know the site I am referring to?

I am doing some pro-bono work for an organization that wants to create a staff area of their site, where their staff could have a forum for discussing issues and sharing ideas, etc. as well as a way to share curriculum files. Users should be able to login and upload files, and add descriptions, sort of like a curriculum databank. It should be lightweight, if anyone has any suggestions for a cms that can do this that isn't bloated and complicated to manage (I don't want to have to be constantly going back in for them)

Awhile back I came across this hosted CMS. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark the page and now I'm racking my brain and Googling everything I can think of to find it. All I can remember is that the page design was a black background with grey text. They had one page that listed every feature I believe in three columns. It was a huge list of features. You can customize the appearance of your site and it integrated with all sorts of other webservices. It offered stats packages and it also had some social networking features. I believe users could create blogs, it had forums, comments, profiles, etc. I'd really like to find it again, but I can't seem to find it. Hopefully one of you has the answer!

I'm looking to create an info web site with similar features as IMDB. I'm hoping I can just adapt an existing CMS but I'm not sure where to start. I know I can go through and peruse all the biggies like Drupal, EE, etc, but I'd like to narrow my starting point, especially because of my message board requirement below.

A friend has asked for my help designing a site to sell access to photo galleries and videos (yes, porn). The way he'd like it to work is this: on the main page, you see a list of models. You click one and see that model's available galleries and videos, with some sample images and video clips. You then purchase (via credit card) access to the galleries and videos you want, rather than the usual porn subscription model.
Can anyone recommend a CMS for this sort of thing? I'm at a loss.
