We're traveling abroad for the first time this year (UK, Ireland). My wife has decided that she doesn't want me carrying bags (camera, book, etc.) around with me when we're sight-seeing. She wants me to wear a vest like this one
. I admit that all of the pockets are cool, but I'm not that keen on the idea otherwise. I think the vest looks dumb. And I doubt its practicability. What can you tell me about travel vests?
Are they useful? What should I look for when shopping for one? Can I get one that actually looks good? Is durable and comfortable? I haven't checked my Filson catalog yet, but that's my next stop.

I have always enjoyed the quality of Ralph Lauren/Polo clothes. I have a professor who used to work in the textile industry, who said that most clothing is made in just a dozen or so mills worldwide. I am looking for long-sleeve t-shirts of the same thread-count and quality of these Polo t's
. I could care less about the brand...any suggestions??

What should I wear to meetings with telco companies like T-Mobile and Cingular in the US?
Consider that I'm a Dutch business development executive / deal maker from a hip, young, rapidly growing and very down to earth Dutch IT company, which doesn't allow its employees to travel business class (not even when traveling trans Atlantic). I would prefer wearing something comfortable, meaning no suit and tie. But is this in any way acceptable?

I recently bought a gorgeous new brown suede blazer in Sweden. It fits perfectly and it is my new favourite jacket apart from one thing - it reeks of suede/leather. Not just a subtle odour, but a full on beefy smell that smacks you in the face. Even to the point where other people comment on it. Nothing else I have ever owned has done this, is there anything I can do to rescue it? Even Febreze has been outclassed!

FashionFilter: Where can I buy an imitation leather men's jacket that doesn't look stupid? Do such things exist? I like leather a lot from the appearance standpoint, but while I eat meat, I don't see the consumption of leather or fur as particularly wholesome. Whenever I've tried Googling such things, the only jackets I ever find are bomber jackets, which are not my style -- I'd prefer something cleaner and more modern. Internet sites are fine, but serious bonus points for actual stores in New York City. And how much can I reasonably expect to pay for such a thing?

Women'sClothingFilter: If an item of clothing has a "split size", such as a 1/2 or a 22/24, which is the "correct" size to call it? Do you go with the higher or lower number?
And in a related vein--if it's a junior size 5, that's the same as a women's 3, right? Or something like that? I get confused, because I wear a Youth Medium t-shirt, but often still wind up having to buy Women's LARGE.
Clues definitely needed here!

I am considering the online purchase of some Le Coq Sportif shoes. Undortunately there is no where in Santa Fe where i can try some on first, so I can find my size. For instance, I wear an 11 in new balances but a 10 in mephistos. Are there any websites that compare shoe fit by brand? Or does anyone have info on the fit of Le Coq Sportif? thanks

I have to go on a few job interviews for web producer positions in the UK. I've got a suit, and a collarless black jacket/suit which I quite like and isn't too far off the norm. But I need a good shirt.
What colour shirt should I go for? White? Blue? Lilac? Should it be a "name" shirt eg Boss, Ralph Lauren or will any good quality shirt do?
