Describing a dress shirt.

I'm sartorially clueless. How would you describe this kind of shirt? It's a "dress shirt", sure, but how would you specify the fabric and cut (particularly that type of collar)? Here is another example. I'm looking to buy some shirts like these but when I go to department stores I can only find this sort of thing - which is cut completely differently and uses an extremely thin fabric. Help me articulate the differences.

Keffiyeh Tying

We're in the depths of an icy winter here in Kentucky and I've been wearing a keffiyeh like this, which has helped a lot. When it's less cold/windy I pull the parts extending over my head and face down and it forms a pretty good torus of cloth around my neck. What other ways can I wear it? How do you do this?

Belt for GPS tracking and my tiny laptop

I'm currently waiting for my Eee PC and Mologogo phone (a motorola i415) to arrive. These are items I'd like to carry with me very frequently (essentially always), and I call upon the hivemind to help me figure out the best way to do so. [more inside]
