Who made Jamie Pressley's purple shoes, (Jimmy Fallon Show tonight). WOW!

Greetings,
Does anyone have any idea who made the purple shoes Jamie Pressley wore on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (3/20/09)?
They were surely among the most bad-assed women's shoes I have ever seen.

What colors "go" in fashion?

Are there any websites that have easy to understand guidelines about matching colors in fashion? I'm really bad at creating outfits that use color. 90% of my wardrobe is dark denim, black, or gray. I love color but I don't know how to use it. I have a blogroll full of fashion websites; to some degree, it's possible to mimick those outfits, but I'd like to be able to do this more organically.

I'm not even that great at using neutrals. I bought an evergreen-colored dress and can't find a shoe that looks good with it. I thought brown would be good but it's very "tree" looking. I'm wearing black shoes with it now but it just looks off somehow.

I've heard the suggestion of getting a color wheel from a paint store and using it to learn complementary colors - but I'm familiar with those basics and still don't get how and why certain things are supposed to go together.

Nowhere on the color wheel does it explain how a neutral outfit with a bright orange bag and bright green shoe can look good. (An example from What Not to Wear, which I thought looked great, but would never have thought to do.)

Are there any simple websites where you can choose a main color and it will show you colors that match and go? (Again, some paint websites do this, but paint colors tend to be very muted and neutral, and don't reflect clothing/shoe colors well.)

What are the best non-leather athletic shoes?

What are the best non-leather athletic shoes? Athletic shoes are one of the few products for which I've been unable to find non-animal replacements. I did have some nice Adidas hemp Gazelles, but I don't think Adidas makes them anymore, and anyway, those shoes would have only been average for indoor soccer. I would certainly take them now (for a non-extravagant price).

For semi-serious football/soccer shoes (both cleats and flats), are there any good non-leather alternatives? While I'm at it, how about basketball or tennis? (Soccer cleats should double for baseball.) Ice skates?!

I do know about Chuck Taylors, of course, but if I played in any sort of game with largish men, I would want a bit more ankle protection, i.e. a serious athletic shoe. Thanks for any tips.

You know what they say about people with big feet....

Where can I buy large men's sneakers (size 13/48) in China? I'm living in China and am about to run out of shoes. There are shoe stores everywhere, but I cannot find a pair of shoes big enough for me. My usual drill is to walk into any shoe store and ask what the biggest size is; they usually say 45; I say I need 48. Seller's eyes get really big and then I'm usually followed out of the store with a bunch of clerks staring at my monstrous sneakers. None of the shoe sellers seem to know where I could find a pair in size 48, either. I've also asked plenty of foreigners where they get their shoes, and the answer is always that they fill their suitcases with shoes when they return from a trip back to their home country.

I'm in Nanjing and have exhausted the possibilities here; I've also tried looking in every city I've visited, which include some that are frequented by hordes of foreigners. Are there any stores in Beijing or Shanghai with large size sneakers? Do any of the Chinese internet mailorder places have sizes large enough for me? I met one shoemaker (though she was on an extended leave of absence from her factory) who suggested having shoes made; has anybody had shoes made to order in China?

What to do with clothing that can't be given to Goodwill?

What to do with the clothing of someone who has passed away? Goodwill is not a option. The deceased was an older female and left many clothes and shoes behind and the family does not wish to give them to Goodwill as they feel it is rather impersonal in this situation. Some have been given to other women in the family, but there's still a huge closet of very fine clothing and shoes which the family does not wish to give away to just anyone.

Any ideas? This is in Bowie, MD if it matters.

Online Shoe Purchase, Help

I am considering the online purchase of some Le Coq Sportif shoes. Undortunately there is no where in Santa Fe where i can try some on first, so I can find my size. For instance, I wear an 11 in new balances but a 10 in mephistos. Are there any websites that compare shoe fit by brand? Or does anyone have info on the fit of Le Coq Sportif? thanks

identify this boot? advice on online boot shopping?

For six years I've worn a particular kind of black boot which has, understandably, succumbed to the ravages of time. It's kind of like a military boot and kind of like a workboot as this crappy cellphone photo demonstrates. My sister bought the original pair for me in Portland and doesn't remember any of the details: store name, brand name, and so forth. My guess is a place like GI Joe's. Any idea what this style of boot is called? And does anyone have a preferred online shopping outlet for kind of standard-issue apparel?

Stretching Shoes

Is it possible to stretch canvas shoes? Just a little? More inside. I have wide feet so I usually have to wear New Balance 2EE or 3EE, or Converse bought a size too long. But I also don't wear leather, I like to support Vegan companies, and I don't buy Chuck Taylors anymore 'cuz they're Nikes. (Didn't Chucks used to be sorta the Anti-Nike, the shoe for non-jocks/cheap punks/etc? Good business move, Nike, sewing up the market.)

This makes life buying shoes pretty damn tough. So I just ordered a pair of these Comptons and I ♥ them totally, but the left one is just a tad tight on my left big-toe tendon (the slightly larger of my two feets.)

Can I maybe wet the toe of the shoe and shove something big in it to stretch it? Or should I give up and send 'em back? :-(

T'anks.
