Mens Pants Filter - Either the butt or the waist fits, but not both

Whenever I shop for pants or shorts, almost everything I try on either has a tight waist and comfortable butt, or tight butt and too-loose waist. This applies across various brands. I like to say that I'm little in the middle but I got much back, but my proportions aren't that strange. Skinny jeans don't fit me, but I'm not going for pleated dockers, either. I wear approximately a 30" waist and 28" inseam. Guys, can you recommend any brands that solve this problem?

Men's trousers: flat front, high waist. Help?

I wear a suit or dress trousers most days to the office, and am looking to replace some of my wardrobe. I've gone to a few mens' clothing stores, but have struck out looking for high-waisted, fitted but not tight, flat front men's trousers. (Details/snowflake/etc inside) [more inside]

How to jazz up a solid silk necktie?

Boyfriend has a solid-colored teal silk necktie he was forced to buy for a wedding. He says he'll never wear it again in it's current state as it is too "prom-y". Anything I can do to either a) make the tie more interesting (ex. a pattern) and thus wearable or b) put it to some other crafty use? [more inside]

Clothes horse

I'm in my 20s and a man and I have a lot of trouble coming up with reasonably in style outfits. I'm looking for pictures of outfits with links to buy each component. Ideally, these would not be tied to any one brand (so, not Gap's looks for spring or something). Basically: "Wear theses things together and here is where you can find them." [more inside]

Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society. Mark Twain

I need a major rehabilitation of my wardrobe. I kinda know where to start, but I need any fashion help possible. Caveats: I'm a guy, I'm overweight, I have a limited budget for now, and I'm style-impaired. [more inside]

Ask Menswear: Where can I buy clothes online that fit my style requirements?

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to buy reasonably priced mens clothing online. To be a little more specific, I am a college student who doesn't have a ton of money to spend, but I'd like to get the largest bang possible for my buck as far as clothes go. The sort of stuff I'm looking for fits somewhere on the spectrum between what Urban Outfitters has to offer, and what Tom Waits wears - if that makes any sense. I'm mostly covered in the pants department at the moment, so stuff like shirts, shoes, and socks are what I'm interested in. [more inside]

Another type of pull down

Men: I really need your cross-training workout clothing recommendations. I have started spending about 2-3 hours a day in the gym in my quixotic quest to eat chocolate again and the ride-up factor in my polyester shorts is becoming a major burden. Shirts, shorts, other equipment that will make long hours at the gym pleasant and comfortable are gratefully accepted. Please: no fitness tips!

men can't wear sundresses.

My boyfriend and I are heading to an outdoor wedding this weekend. It's expected to be hot, so I am questioning the appropriateness of a suit. The poor man will roast. What should/ can he wear that is acceptable? [more inside]
