Where to get custom made suit in Bay Area?

Recommend a tailor in the Bay Area to create a custom made suit. I am a 25 year old female about to finish grad school and enter The Real World. I would like to have one good quality power suit for interviews but department store shopping is frustrating and fruitless. I can't find anything that flatters my body type, is a complementary color, and is good quality. I've decided to scrimp and save and use my tax refund to buy a custom made suit that I can use for years. So...where do I go?

Can you recommend any tailors in the Bay Area (Oakland/Berkeley preferred, but I'm willing to travel for quality) with experience in female business suits?

Help me decide what's appropriate for this job interview (clothing-wise)..

What should a California girl wear to a job interview in Boston in few (cold) weeks? I'm born and raised in California and thus, have never experienced weather below a chilly 50 degrees or so. I'm flying out to Boston for a job interview on November 12, and I have no idea what's appropriate to wear. Usually I go with slacks, heels, and a crisp button-down and tasteful earrings. But this is COLD weather!

Are boots acceptable? What about sweaters? Do people wear boots into the building and then change? What about pants-wise? What happens!??!

Will not covering up this tattoo negatively impact me at my upcoming job interview?

I have a job interview on Wednesday for a very interesting non-profit organization involved with animal research (for good purposes). All of my suits are skirt/jacket combos. I'm very short...too short for pant suits, and no time for alterations. The skirt suits wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a huge tattoo on my leg. In my former career in creative arts, tattoos were acceptable and even commonplace. I'm not sure if this is a big deal with the new field. Nylons look silly over the work, and tights make me look like a little girl. Plus, it's very hot out. Is showing the tattoo something I should worry about? Do you think it will be viewed negatively? Any suggestions to help make me look more professional? FYI, the work covers my shin/ankle/foot and is water, leaves and flowers. This is in California.

I have an interview for a Web dev position with a university next week, for the graduate department (Midwest, Big 10). I read Dress for Success about 30 years ago, but since then I have been mostly a jeans and t-shirts guy. I am out of touch with the business world and academia these days. What should I wear to my interview?

I'm... Too casual for this shirt? (UK)

I have to go on a few job interviews for web producer positions in the UK. I've got a suit, and a collarless black jacket/suit which I quite like and isn't too far off the norm. But I need a good shirt.

What colour shirt should I go for? White? Blue? Lilac? Should it be a "name" shirt eg Boss, Ralph Lauren or will any good quality shirt do?

Wearing all black to a job interview

Would it be bad to wear all black to a job interview? I have 2 job interviews this week. Both are at tech companies doing a techy job. Unfortunately, I had a really bad case of food poisoning over the weekend (the time I had set aside to go buy a nice outfit or two to wear) and now I don't have time to go shopping. What I do have hanging around is nice pair of black pants and a nice black blouse. I think it looks pretty good, but I'm concerned about wearing all black. Is wearing all black a bad idea?

What to wear to a job interview?

I'm interviewing for a developer position at a software company in Silicon Valley in a couple of weeks. The dress code there is casual. What should I wear to the interview? I don't have much of an instinct for fashion; left to my own devices, I think I would wear khakis, a button down shirt, and a tie. This feels really boring. Plus, is a tie necessary? Are there more interesting or stylish options? Can you recommend any specific retailers?

I'm meeting with several people over 6-7 hours, so I'd like to be comfortable.

I'm male, mid-twenties, medium build.
