I've been hanging out with first-graders lately, and I'm so jealous of their clothes! They wear things that are super-cute and stylish enough that they wouldn't look at all out of place on an adult, but also made to withstand tumbling around and playing. How does someone who is *just barely* too big for standard kids sizes find clothes like that? (I'm 5' 2" and 115 lbs.) [more inside]

How do you arrange worn clothing? I tend to wear clothes more than once before laundering them, especially pants and outerwear, and usually drop them on the chair or the bed. Are you supposed to fold them up and put them in with the cleaned clothes? [more inside]

I am addicted to buying clothes online. Every time there's a sale for anything (15% off, free shipping etc.), I feel compelled to take advantage of it and buy whatever I want. I rationalize my behavior, thinking "oh, I'm saving myself money in the long run by buying these clothes now, rather than later when there's no sale." Or I'll say, "If I don't buy it now, they'll run out of stock, and then I won't have this beautiful item." What can I do, say to myself, or change in my behavior, to prevent my online shopping sprees?
If you see an item you like online that's just a convenient click away from being yours, what is the checklist you go through, mentally, before deciding to purchase/not purchase it? How do you keep your clothing budget under control?

I met some Korean ESL students in school and have been drinking and hanging out with them, they are really cool people and want me to show them around Scottsdale and go clubbing in some upscale joints, trouble is I am clueless to the club scene, haven’t been to Scottsdale and don’t have club clothes. I love the look of ladies neckties and I want to start wearing them to the office, but I am not sure how to go about sizing them to fit (5' 1") me. I think most men's ties look too wide, and I know there are also skinny ties, but I'm assuming they'd be too lengthy... [more inside]

I'm a guy looking for casual, slim pants that aren't jeans. Maybe something you would see in Europe. I need them in all sorts of colors. One of my female friends suggested that her pants might fit me, and upon trying them on they actually fit better than anything else I own. So, any suggestions as to where I can find pants that actually fit without looking in the ladies section? [more inside]

I have some dry clean-only clothes that I want to donate. They could use a cleaning but I don't want to pay for it if I'm going to be donating them. There was a program in the DC area that let you donate clothes and a dry cleaners would clean them for free. Anyone heard of something similar in NYC?

Can anybody recommend some children's sandals (no flip-flops)? Here's the criteria I'm looking for:
* Relatively inexpensive.
* Good for walking (we don't have a car).
* Can get wet without falling apart (we live near a lake).
* Will securely hold to the child's foot (won't fall off easily like flip-flops).

Where do people shop for cool MEN'S clothes? I'm not 21 and don't want to wear skinny jeans with plaid Vans. But I'm not 40 and do not want to dress in the JCPenney uniform of khakis and golf shirt.
I've tried JCrew and Banana Republic -- ok, but a bit stuffy or fratty. H&M is just strange.
I'm looking for clothes I can wear on a Fri or Sat night. Date w girlfriend. Out with friends at a cool bar. Any ideas on where to shop?

I'm a mid-twenties, relatively-tall, relatively-fit (6' 1", 180 lbs...but I run a lot) guy who has a shirt problem. During the colder months I really like wearing long-sleeve cotton shirts as a sort of base layer under other things. My problem? I can't find any brand that fits...either the arms are too short, or the shirt maker seems to presume that I'm going to have a beer belly to go along with my longer than average arms. I.e., what I'm looking for is something like the small size of this,
but with longer arms. I realize I could get larger shirts tailored down or go the bespoken route, but both of those options seem kind of overkill for what should really be a pretty standard product. Are there any brands that serve guys in my size by default? [more inside]

I'm 18, male, British, and have really no sense of style clothing-wise. What's the best way for me to very quickly builds some sort of fashion sense, so that (a) I can start wearing clothes that actually look good and (b) I feel less in the dark when people talk about such matters? Basically, what I need is some sort of crash course in style: the lessons I would have learnt if I hadn't spent my time programming.
