don't tell mom, the clothes dryer's

So my electric dryer's busted. It's a Kenmore 90 Series, and if it's been plugged in (not necessarily running, just plugged in), it just buzzes and doesn't start. If I leave it unplugged for a couple hours, it'll start normally and then quit after a few minutes. Any idea what part needs replacin'? [more inside]

I still feel like a wizard every time...

I fold my t-shirts like this. Lately, though, I've acquired a lot of long-sleeved thermals that I like to wear. Is there a comparable method of folding long-sleeved shirts? If not, what's your favorite quick and consistent long-sleeved-shirt folding method? (Extra points if it also works for bulkier stuff like sweaters and sweatshirts.)

Men's fitted shirts similar to Macy's INC?

Looking for fitted shirts similar to INC from Macy's, which is the only brand I've found shirts from that I've really liked. I work in a semi-casual workplace (no jeans/shorts, but untucked button-up shirts are fine), and I like shirts that I'll also wear on my days off. I'm pretty thin, so I need shirts that don't balloon out at the waist, and I tend to like relatively simple designs (plain colors/stripes, with a preference for monochrome). Preferably, the shirts would hold up well without ironing, since I only have a hand-steamer. What brands other than INC should I check out? (I'm in Southern California, so please stick to brands that would be available for trying on around here.)

Looking for women's plus-size cold weather exercise pants

I am looking for women's plus-sized (size 2X) cold-weather pants for walking my dog in the morning. I walk/run her for about 45 minutes (we are slowly doing Couch to 5K together). Specifically, I'd like to have something like these thermal running tights that are light, easy to pull on in the morning straight out of bed and will wick away moisture. Regular exercise and/or running tights aren't warm enough. Typical temps I walk in are down to 20F -- I'd like to be warm, but just not cold would be sufficient. I need them in a women's size 2X, but have had no luck finding anything. [more inside]

Deyellow me some whites!

I have some white T-shirts (standard Fruit of the Loom/Hanes/shrink-wrapped supermarket cotton T's) that have gone yellow around the folds after being stored folded in a closet for too long. I'd like to bring them back to their original shade. Some I've actually never worn! The tools I have are a bucket, gloves, collar cleaner, and bleach. I'd like to rinse the bleach out before I put them in the machine. I've never done anything like pre-soaking or treating stains before. [more inside]

Laundry of doom?
