I usually try to buy clothes made in first world country, by looking at the label (Milan, London, made in LA). I always assumed that the Western world had minimum wages, and other progressive standards that say, made in China didn't. I use this to justify the high cost of the goods, but my father informs that this is untrue and the expensive hand labor of ripping the jeans, sanding, etc. are done in places such as LA -- but are sweatshop conditions (by employing illegals, ignoring labor laws, etc.). Is this true?

A load of laundry i just took out of the dryer appears to be completly ruined. I left a ball point pen in a pocket and it went thru the washer/dryer spilling all of it's horrible blackness all over my clothes. Is there any hope????? Any suggestions for attempting to treat them? What's the deal? It's not like a newborn cares about bows and ruffles, and it's not like she'll grow up any more or less feminine as a result of what she wears.
Boys' clothes are much simpler and seem to have cooler designs, and some of the unisex stuff is pretty good, but all the girl stuff seems pastelly and flowery. Where are the primary colors for girls, the animals and trucks and fire engines. And does anyone make black baby clothes?

Last summer I had a pair of black dress pants dry cleaned. I didn't check them out until a month later, at which point I noticed that there was chalk-like stains all over the pants. I have narrow ankles and fairly "large" feet (I have to wear size 10 shoes in order to have a comfortable fit). But because of my narrow ankles, I am having a hard time finding shoes that fit. I have tried thicker socks, a couple of different lacing techniques etc but nothing seems to help. My heels always move inside the shoes! Please help me!!!
