Cheap clothing worldwide: OK I see ads for very low dollar cost clothing which leads to short lifespans for those clothes and a never ending repeat cycle. Is this something other countries outside the US do for their garments? Do say German middle class parents buy cheap items for school or do they buy better grade products and buy them less often? Is the Wal-Mart/Ross/K-Mart junk clothing limited to the US? Same with cheap shoes, are the quality shoes found in German or Swiss or French stores better and therefore longer lived?
How can a tall 20-something female become fashionable on a budget? [more inside]
I need cheap, brand-name polos. Used to use polo-shirts.us but their site is down. I'm fine with buying a lot of 10 shirts as long as its under $200... Where do I find such deals now that my slightly seedy chinese company is no longer in business? [more inside]
Whilst in Malaysia a few years ago, I picked up some very high-quality, very cheap Ralph Lauren 'Oxford' dress shirts. I realise they were probably fake, but I don't care - they were comfortable, and cheap enough to not care about destroying them. My mum's in Hong Kong at the moment, and I've asked her to get me some more. Does anyone know where she'll find them and, so she doesn't get ripped off, how much she should expect to pay?
I need to get some clothing staples for a young woman. She needs basic underwear, socks, t-shirts; you know, the standards. Anyone know of a good place to go? Target, Wal-mart, etc. all seem to not sell this sort of thing online.
