"I own a Sony ICF-C113V bedside clock-radio that receives television signals from the soon to be obsolete VHF channels (2-13). Does anyone know if there is a clock-radio solution on the market yet that receives the audio portion of the DTV television signals in a clock-radio footprint? I have an iHome which I use as my primary clock-radio for alarms and music (iPod), but would still like the option to listen to television periodically."

I have the Ipod Touch which I enjoy EXCEPT for its newly crippled alarm clock. My previous Ipod would play a playlist as the alarm sound. The Touch doesn't do this and it's slowly driving me crazy. I own an Ipod docking clock radio so all may not be lost. [more inside]

Do dimmer/timer combo adapters for lamps exist? I want to be able to set a timer AND dimmer on my bedside lamp so that at a scheduled time in the morning it will slowly scale upwards in brightness, simulating a sunrise. I know lamps with this feature built-in exist, but can you get an adapter that works on any lamp? I can only find timer and dimmer adapters alone, but never as a unit.

Simulating Sunrise: So they sell timers that plug into outlets, and they sell dimmers that plug into outlets. Does anyone know of some way to combine the two that doesn't involve me rewiring the outlets in my apartment? I dislike my alarm clock and I want a new one. I'm tired of sleeping too late because the power went out or I couldn't tell if the alarm was set for AM or PM. I'm tired of jumping out of my bed in the morning because the alarm decided to it's awful impression of "the ocean" instead of beep at me.
