I'm not sure exactly what to call this. I'm collecting examples of obvious miscommunications in movie production that no one cared enough about to get fixed. I noticed one of them in the movie Friends with Benefits. Can you help me find this clip online? [more inside]

I'm trying to find a film that was shown to me when I was in first grade in 1976. It was a stop-motion animation film that was about a situation where all the men live on one island and all the women live on another island. They attempt to come together, but there is the difficulty of getting from one island to the other to contend with. The look of the film was like Gumby - it may have been claymation, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I'm much of the way through building a TRS Drawbot robotic arm thingy, and I need to buy cable organizer / management clips more or less like this that are large enough to hold a sharpie (or similar-sized) marker. The Make Magazine project was sponsored by a US retailer that doesn't exist in Canada, and I'm having trouble locating an equivalent or serviceable substitute on short notice here. If you've seen these or something that you think would work in a pinch around - at a national chain, or somwhere in the downtown/East end Toronto areas - I'd really appreciate your help! What can I show children to inspire and wow them? I teach children aged between 9 and 11. I'm looking for video clips (or other) to show the children that will blow their minds - or at least, prompt discussion, broaden their horizons and take them outside of the confines of the four walls of the classroom. I am making a small felt sleeve for an antique pocket knife, to protect it from car-keys and loose change. Easy enough. I'd like to add a clip to it so it can discretely ride at the top of my front pants pocket or shirt pocket for quick access, like some eyeglasses cases have. Insanely difficult. Are such clips sold anywhere for crafters, or am I stuck cutting, bending and polishing my own from sheet metal? How do I even go about attaching such a thing to a felt sheath?
Hi. Does anyone know who made the following video clip? Was it a music video -- I don't recognize the artist. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'm about to get married and can already anticipate times in which I will not want the ring on my hand (like when I'm whitewater kayaking, for fear of losing it), but I'll still want it with me. I'm thinking maybe I'll get a simple, sturdy necklace and a little clip of some kind. Any suggestions for said necklace and/or clip? Also will the stainless clip damage 18k gold?

There is a stock audio clip used all over the place in which you can hear a dispatcher say "Beta ... something something", I can never make out anything past "Beta" but it's very common. The last place I heard it was in one of the latest Arby's commercials where a paramedic is getting into an ambulance for some reason or other. And the first place I remember hearing it is in Sim City 2000 when you call in the police it would play this audio clip every time. I am looking for as much information as I can find out about it, and my google-fu has failed me. Specifically I would like to know what the dispatcher says.
I am looking for a good website for free clip art. I have googled but come up with rather lame clip art. I am putting together a one page memo and wanted some cartoonish things like aliens and comic book like designs. And I am using Word 2004 for the Mac.
How can I get a short clip from a DVD and save it to use in the classroom? Say I was teaching a lesson and a film had a short clip that was perfect at demonstrating something or at getting a point across and I wanted to save it and let other teachers use it in their lessons what would I have to do? Obviously I would look to getting the right clearance in terms of copyright - but how would I do this? Is there a really quick and easy way? Thanking you.

Help me find a durable retractable ID badge holder. This is similar to what I'm looking for, but the problem is that I only need ONE and not one hundred of them. I've been searching for quite a while now and can't seem to find anywhere that will sell just one. I'm having no problems finding them in bulk, but that isn't what I need. I have an ID badge holder now but it has a nylon cord and I've already broken two of them. I want something more durable than the cheap nylon freebie ones.

Name that tune please :: PBS is great, and the songs in their promos are actually just as good. Currently running is a promo that ends with the words; "Be More ~ ThirteenHD" (this is PBS Thirteen's High-Def channel which they broadcast in NYC & possibly elsewhere?). The music which accompanies it is a piece that I'd classify as sort of a Blues/Rock/Jazz instrumental. My Question: Name that tune!?! [more inside]

What is the *easiest* way to take a clip from a commercial DVD and turn it into a WMV or AVI file. I own the DVD I am using and need a hastle-free way of showing lots of DVD clips in my class lectures. Also, the quality needs to be reasonable -- but not perfect. And again, I'm looking for the *easiest* way.
