Looking for an album called 'Wings'

Do you remember the 'concept album' from the late 70s (?) called 'Wings'? Nothing to do with Paul McCartney, this was a 'crossover' production, mixing jazz and classical. The word 'wings' is so generic that Googling isn't helping me at all. If I just had the composer's name, I'd be able to hunt up a copy ... (I remember being wowed by the music back then, and would like to re-visit it.)

I don't wanna Jack Off In Back. It's baroque but don't fix it.

I'm looking for some classical music recomendations. I like Glenn Gould, Anner Bylsma, Morimur (The Hilliard Ensemble with Christoph Poppen). I really like interesting little albums that are individual and not necessarily part of some huge opus. Any suggestions? Doesn't even have to be classical. I'll describe the things I like about these recordings. Hit me up with some suggestions. [more inside]

I want to sell my soul at the cross roads

I'v been playing guitar for a number of years, and in the last couple i've started learning classical pieces to push myself. Although i'm no john williams yet learning pieces such as canarios and asturias has really improved my playing. So do any of you out there have a piece or pieces that you loved learning or that took your playing to a new level? I'm mostly looking for classical pieces but things along the lines of bert janch would also be appreciated. No shredding please.

(Non-obvious) classical music to scare girls to...?

Can you suggest some dark, foreboding, scary classical music? Not the obvious stuff like The Hall of the Mountain King or Carmina Burana, but some pieces that might not be instantly recognisable. Can be any era - I'd love to find some stuff from the baroque era that fits the bill - but any period as long as it sends chills up and down the spine.

I want to take the opportunity of an upcoming holiday to take on some challenging reading, I'd really like to try some classical oriental literature but I dont really know where to start. It has to be portable (single paperback volume) suitably annotated and, importantly, readable! I've been recommended The Dream of the Red Chamber but I dont which edition to get or if this is a good choice. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I'm thinking of a song...

Hopefully this won't be too obscure... There was a pretty popular Japanese rock band that had a song which was basically a rocked out heavy metal version of Dies Irae from Verdi's requiem. I think the CD is from the early 90's or so. What's the name of the band? (and no, it's not from the Battle Royale soundtrack. That was a purely orchestral version)
