please help me find/ID an older book about 'sideshow freaks'

Another fantastic round of "AskMe, Name That Book!" Although I cannot remember the title, author/editor, or what the cover looked like at all, I do remember a great deal of detail about what is contained therein. The book I am looking for gave brief, factual descriptions and synopses of the lives of people who were commonly referred to/treated as 'sideshow freaks' in the late 19th/early 20th century, many of whom were also circus performers with P.T. Barnum. [more inside]

Small scaled circus event, and not quite juggulo themed. How does one promote?

My boyfriend and I were sitting around one night listening to an extensive amount of circus music I had the thought... we totally need to put on a circus-themed party. We found and booked a venue with a good friend who owns a bar, booked a few performers (jugglers, contortionists, musicians, all close friends). The date is set, place booked, now for the promotion which will make or break the event. [more inside]

Looking for a Family Circus cartoon / safety flier.

Looking for a Family Circus cartoon / safety flier. It is one of the single pane, dotted-line ones of Jeffy(?). It maps his path crawling through the house and lists different potential hazards. I'd like to use it to educate new parents about "childproofing" the home. I lost my last copy and can't seem to find it anywhere. -Thanks!
