I need some perspective or tips on how to get past (both emotionally and phsyically) a circumcision that I've realized probably wasn't necessary.

A question for anyone out there who was circumcised as an adult: could you describe the change in sexual sensation before and after?

I'm a 16 year old male, and my foreskin doesn't retract at all when erected. I would say I have phimosis except I'm not sure if this is normal for my age...help?

We just moved to Austin, TX and have a new baby boy due next month. Of course I wait until the last minute, but does anyone have any recommendations for a mohel (ritual Jewish circumciser) in the Austin area? The ceremony will not be huge, since we do not know anyone here yet.
My wife is not Jewish, so s/he would have to be accepting of that.

My 11 month old son needs to be circumcised soon due to extreme phimosis which has led to repeated urinary tract infections. (See
this question for some background, actually.) Are there other Mefi parents who have had their older infants/children circumcised? Our urologist seems to think that he'll only be in discomfort for a day or two, and that the aftercare will be fairly minimal, but I'm not sure I believe him.
Please lets not debate circumcision, ok? We chose not to have him circumcised at birth, but repeated serious UTIs are a whole other kettle of fish. Thanks! [more inside]

Deeply conflicted, the circumcision we'd reluctantly decided upon was rescheduled until his seventh day. My husband and I got within a block of the doctor's office, our perfectly-formed week-old baby in his carseat, and simultaneously decided he was just right and we were just wrong. We turned around and never looked back, until . . .

I'm going to be having a baby boy soon, so I've been forced to handle a sensitive subject:
foreskin! Should we circumcise him, or not? Is it genital mutilation or just good, clean hygiene? I'm snipped, so it's always seemed perfectly normal to me, but is it even necessary? Some professional medical advice would be appreciated, as well as any sociocultural perspectives/opinions you might have.
